Good traditional Polish food in very nice setting. We visited on a Sunday evening when it was very quiet. Service was attentive friendly and discrete. The best Perogia we have had during our stay. Very tasty pork goulash with beetroot salad sauerkraut and freshly cooked crisp potato wedges and apple fritters with ice cream. Portion sizes were just right; not... More

This Polish restaurant is in Stare Miasto, but not on the main square. Quite place to talk and very good food to eat. It is a little bit old fashioned, but it is even better to feel the real Krakow.

Very nice little family run polish restaurant. Very good local dishes and very reasonable prices. Friendly service. Was a little slow at first but once we started the courses came quickly. The quality of the food is high.

... so if you don't have to use the loo (no loo roll or soap in dispenser) then there should be no issues. We felt we were in a local's restaurant; the decor was traditional and food was Polish. Delicious and nicely presented, with an interesting selection of side dishes. Very reasonably priced and service friendly and professional.

We absolutely loved this restaurant. It's just behind the main square. Great food, incredible prices, great service.

Quaint little restaurant centrally located near the main square. We ordered a variety of offerings from the menu as I (100% Polish descent) was eager to taste and compare different dishes. The barszcz with uszka were not at all flavorful. The soup itself lacked any seasoning, nor did it have the acidic burst of flavor that I expected. The uszka... More

Cechowa is quite an old-fashioned restaurant with fairly dated decor - but do not let that put you off! The food is great - they serve traditional Polish cuisine and they know what they're on about. I had zurek (sour soup) and pierogi ruskie (dimplings with curd cheese and potatoes) which were both gorgeous. The pricing is very inexpensive. The... More

This is the very best of Polish food we found in Krakow (and Warsaw). I'm a quarter Pole and struggled to find decent Polish food in the main square and yet Cechowa is only 1 minute walk away. I feel some of the other reviews are a little unfair. This is a traditional Polish restaurant. It's not fancy or fussy,... More
