Last September I visited Tatra Mountains in Poland were I stayed in Kolibecka Pokoje Goscinne in Zakopane - Close by Nosal, major skiing and hiking place. This most beautiful wooden, mountain house -Pension like, quiet, contains many private rooms with balcony for rent. It had fantastic clean bathroom with all the newest gadgets including bidet and shower jets, hairdryer and... More

Fine interior, feels authentic. Toilet is outside around the building. Staff is unpolite, we sat down at a table what they saw but did not bother to inform us for fifteen minutes that we had to order at the bar. Big portions of food, zurek and the cheese plate were good, the big size sashlik was full of fat.

Unfortunately our first and last visit in Kolibecka was very bad experience. We ordered a lot of food which was not tasty and expensive. Waitress was extremely rude when taking our order by saying "are you ordering or not?". In the soup we found a bug. When we notified waitress that there is a bug inside she said "oh, there... More

Don't miss Kolibecka if you stop in Zakopane! Great traditional food. Few well prepared dishes. Again, don't miss it!

I was a bit concerned reading some of the reviews here, however I was delightfully surprised. We both ordered Goulash Soup and Grilled Sausage with Onions. They were both very tasty. Goulash Soup is very spicy just to let you know. The ambience inside is very cosy and warm, albeit very compact. I will have to agree that the toilet... More

We love the design even though everything is short and very thiny. I do not complain for self order services, it is not problem at all. They need to warn all customers about that, since we have seen one couple left the restaurant very sad ( probably they had waited for an order) Food itself was ok, and prices are... More

I understand that on fasting day you have special menu but why with such insane pricing. Why at this price point and in so small space it is self service??? The service is slow, unhelpful an basically rude and clueless about their job. Toilet is outside!!!!! What? And paid extra!!! What again. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST

Super Busy.... in wrong way. Staff look unhappy. I didn't heard any "how can I help u , thank you or you are welcome". Simply unpolite or even rude. You need to order at bar and You need to bring your drinks up to your own table. I had dumplings . Was fine. But could be better. In one word... More

A place with limited space but it is worth to wait a while for a free table even in a wintertime. Atmosphere is warm and noisy in a positive way. They have a good food and warming drinks, the place is on they way to or back from Kuźnice - lowest station of cable car from Kasprowy Wierch, the top... More

Many people say this tiny hut located well off the main street hosts one of the best restaurants in Zakopane. It's one of very few places where locals come to eat. Having owned a flat in Zakopane for a year and having visited most of the town's restaurants, my conclusion is: Avoid the most advertised restaurants in Krupowki or rather stay away from ALL of the street's forty-something eating places, because they are nothing but a Polish version of fast food, a chain operated by a couple of owners, serving prefab food prepared at factories owned by the same people. Kolibecka is a rare exception.
