I honestly have nothing good to say about the place, and we were plagued by fruit flies. It really is somewhere to avoid, I know some people have added positive reviews but it was very disappointing, and the hordes of flies around our table and food was very off putting. But one good thing is no ill effects this morning... More

It is the first time I give such a bad notation but really we did not eat anything that we ordered... the oil for the onion rings was a bad colour and odour, their was fleas all around us, the dahl was all too spicy and the cheese naan seems to have been warm up a dozen times ... No... More

Just been at the restaurant. Compared to German curry places you get a reasonable food quality . Compared to English Curry places it's just a level below . Service is done by Hungarians and a little bit like in old communistic times. After ordering I saw also a hand written note that only cash is accepted . I would guess... More

Ordered a vegetable curry and got a mediocre curry sauce with frozen veg - not even fresh chopped onion or pepper. 4 lumps of chicken in the chicken dish which wasn't meant to be sweet but had a massive dollop of coconut on top of it - just crappy sauces with rubbish ingredience. No local drinks. The table next to... More

I've been coming to this place for a good few Years and always found it to be an enjoyable experience. Yesterday, however, will be the last. The Lamb Rogan Josh was nothing more than mince meat in a bland red curry. My friend had a vegetable curry that was made with Tinned Mixed Veg and by the taste of it, was... More

We were going to have dinner here. It is licensed to sell drinks but had 'run out of wine', waitress ' not sure if we have any beer' Didn't stay, you need to cater for customers needs

Delhi Dunbar is an Iranian term meaning "The Shahs noble court" It was later used in India for a Rulers court. I came across the restaurant by accident but It is handily located in the heart of Budapest not far from the Boscolo Hotel. Unfortunately I was the only diner there from 7.30 to 8.30. I chose a Seekh kebab... More

I have visited this place,a couple of times this week during my stay at Budapest.. This place is close to New York cafe and surrounded by high noise pubs n bars.. But when you are inside this small restaurant.. Be assured that the food you are being served is really authentic. Well impressed by the chef.. We tried different menus... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
