If you go in and not from Budapest, you will be robbed. A meal and drinks will end up costing you $500 over 150,000fl. It is a scam, do not go. Warn others.

Two girls walks in the street (which is the most popular tourist street in town) fishing for tourists, mainly for a single man. They recommend to have a drink with them. There are no price list, so at the end they force you pay a fortune (ie. 500 EUR) for two glass of wine and a beer. If you do... More

2 people one soup and a beer £300 this should be shut down by the police as they are ripping off tourists by hiding the cost of the menu and then being heavy when you refuse to pay You have been warned

Absolute scam. Stupidly went in out of curiosity, man outside showed us down some windy stairs and shuffled us into a bistro bar. They also charge to use their toilets. The barman asked what we wanted, we asked for 2 local beers. We insisted on paying at the bar, he wanted us to sit down and he would bring the... More

Worst ever! Dont ever go inside!!! Never Budapest again after they give me a bill on 203000 HUF and stole my money from the ATM. After forced me to pay. The bill should be 11000 HUF. The police is the thing to send here!

Make sure you DON'T enter this place. They deliberately won't show you the overpriced menu card beforehand so they can steal your money when you try to leave the place. They charged us with a 150USD bill and we declined to pay. The longer we told them we weren't paying, the harder the waiters and bouncers started shouting to pay... More

The same setup - two girls come talk to you, after a while of innocent chatting they come up with some excuse to find a pub to sit a while, which just happens to be this one. There is no price-list anywhere, the girls proceed to order drinks and you are brought a crazy bill even if you never agreed... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
