Me and my family (wife and 3 yr old son) visited this place yesterday evening to complete our 12 day long euro trip. The place is very centrally located and easily accessible. We reached the place at 5 pm but found it closed though as per trip advisor it is open from 12 pm - 11 pm! I bought this... More

We chanced upon Salaam Bombay as we were walking from our hotel in the snow. We had been travelling for 5 days at that point, and our party of 16 was craving Indian food. The food was delicious, warm, and served to our preference (less oil, no sugar).

This restaurant was started around 8 years back by an Mumbai entrepreneur. The location is excellent and is walking distance from Parliament and Chain Bridge. The food quality and service is average, Try to go for Chicken Tikka Masala with Naan. Vegetarian food is also average.

I and my wife visited this restaurant during our stay in Budapest and quite the enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is located near the four seasons hotel which in itself is a great location for a restaurant. The staff was friendly and the cocktails that we ordered were great. The starters along with the cocktail were tasty but a little... More

You will find this restaurant just behind the Four Seasons Hotel which is on the Danube (up the road to the left as you look with your back to the river). Small, yes, great food, absolutely, busy, yes, especially with Indian tourists which says it all really. the only downside to our visit was, because we didn't book, we were... More

Had a great meal here - better than other Indian efforts in Budapest. Was there with an Indian who agreed. Vegetarian and meat options both very competent.

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
