A nice location for a couple of beers. Attentive service and friendly staff. Would visit here again. If we were being picky the happy hour sign did say 500f for half a litre of beer. We had 1.5 litres and the bill was 1900f, but for pennies we didn't query this and in fact left a tip.

Pretty bad food, fatty veal and the food is unauthentic and not traditional Hungarian. It's not worth the money and the place could do with a refresh.

Tourist menu equals tasteless fatty weak portions. chicken scraggy and noodles well you cant get noodles wrong but these are poor. When i asked for a beer the guy who can speak plenty of languages and is very smooth told me what was available. I asked to see the menu as I was feeling that this could be an expensive... More

restaurant ambiance was quite run down and food wasn't that great. the waiters always got our orders wrong ( 1 beer was interpreted as 1 pitcher of beer) as their english wasn't so good--actually thought they did it on purpose just to increase our total bill. wouldn't go back

We read about the place in our guide book. When we got to the address we found out that it had another name than stated in our guide. The guy outside the restaurant assured us it was the same place as in the guide so we went in. The gullasch was okay, but under the average of the rest of... More

Smooth guy outside luring tourists inside with a good deal! Beware! The portions are small, tasteless and a complete ripoff. The food is disgusting. It is obvious that December is not a good month for businesses like this with the Christmas markets and all, but to have "tourist specials" and then serve food as bad as we had tonight is... More

The food I had was not very hot, the vegetables were over cooked. Quite a few people left food. The prices are ok but I wouldn't go there again, there are better restaurants nearby.

If the experience has taught me anything it is never to eat at a restaurant without first checking tripadvisor. Place was dirty, toilets unsanitary, no ice/lemon with drink (on reflection this was possibly a bonus) and food was inedible. Unable to comment on bill as just desperate to settle and leave. Ended up going to French bakery around the corner... More

Absolutely disgusting food , had two mouth full and it made me feel sick and my seven friends had exactly the same ending. The Owner was so rude it was hilarious. Avoid at all cost.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
