Awful service from each worker. Good portions of food, but not good quality. Nice pub: you can enter, have a look and leave, since I don't recommend to eat there. They do not understand customers queries and answer very badly. Moreover they do not accept cards!!

We have visit this place many times, you can't visit Budapest and not coming here. First of all you eat peanuts and throw the peels on the floor 😂 The goulash is amazing !!! They have like 200 different dishes, my wife is vegan (nobody is perfect:) and she had fried cheese and potato chips and it was very good,... More

Just visited this pub for a couple of drinks, they were fully booked for dinner. Really unusual place with all the notes stuck to the walls and ceilings! Loved the big basket of monkey nuts, all peelings to be dropped on the floor! Saw meals going out, and they were HUGE, probably best to share. Staff were very busy but... More

I discovered this place by chance in March 2016 - on returning in November 2016 it was a must visit! This place is quirky and amazing! Food portions large and really tasty!

Quite central, close to the open market and behind Vaci Utca, this is mainly a PUB that fully operates as a restaurant on the upper floor. While downstairs mainly people stand by the bar, there are only 3 or 4 tables if i am not wrong, upstairs the area is fully dedicated to tables where to seat in a cozy,... More

Great food - surely the best Goulash soup in Budapest and one pot enough as a main meal for two persons. Great menu and prices very reasonable. Lunchtime best as place gets busy in the evening. 10/10 as one of my favourite places in Budapest. Located close to Freedom bridge.

Stopped here for the goulash. Very tasty. Peanuts on the table, throw there Sheila's on the floor. Very cosy, comfortable, and nice location. The garlic mashed potatoes were very garlicky. Delicious. Place was packed from noon to dinner time.

Wow, the service staff was so amazingly rude! I thought it was limited to our waitress, but upon further observation throughout the night, there are a few rude people on staff. That said, the food was really good, everyone was satisfied with their meals, but unfortunately overshadowed by the service.

Relax .... take you time, eat some peanuts, leave your personal note. With that double size portions, you can be sure that you will leave the place hungry !!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
