Went for lunch. The nachos were good. I had the chicken tacos and they obviously forgot to add the lettuce, tomatoes etc, as three tacos came out only with chicken in them. The photo in menu showed rice, beans etc to accompany it. The corn tortillas were authentic and obviously fresh, which made them good. Our waiter was nice and... More

We love Mexican and tried many restaurants, when you visit Budapest we recommend this place. Surprising taste, chili con carne never eaten better and fajitas exactly right. Staff was friendliest we met in this great city, we come back.

Whilst the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun, the food is very average and not quite as tasty as we had hoped. Food is very reasonably priced (worked out £10pp for two courses, no alcohol) so you get what you pay for. It’s decent for some convenient comfort food but unfortunately nothing to get excited about.

Tacos Locos is the best Mexican restaurant in Budapest for one reason: Real Mexican dishes with authentic Mexican taste which should not be a surprise given that the owner is Mexican. On my most recent visit I had my favorite: Green enchilada which consisted of thin, tender slices of chicken wrapped in tortillas, immersed in green tomatillo sauce, topped with... More

If you like good mexican food then this is certainly the place to head for, The food is excellent and well priced and the service was exceptional. The staff are fun and friendly and the portions are large so go here when you are hungry. You will not regret it!

Came here twice during our stay in budapest. Had the chicken burrito and the chicken fajita. Both top top quality. With the bonus of being very reasonably priced. The lovely waiter Gergő was so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant.

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
