Owner, the charismatic Niki Szokron studied the secrets of old Italian family recipes straight from the source in Italy and brought it back to her city. Here you get the finest ice cream shaped like roses, I bought a small (30kr) it is 2 kinds of ice cream. A raspberry sorbet and dragon fruit sorbed, they tasted great. There were many kinds of ice cream to choose from and I don’t think I should have one more of the fine ice cream before I left Budapest.

The Ice cream was tasty , but I think it’s over rated due to the rose shape and hence the pricing is high for the serving that they give. I have had such good ice gelato in other places which are priced better and the serving is huge. But this could be tried one time. The flavours were good and quite nice.

Easy to miss store in the shadow of St Stephen’s Cathedral, located opposite Starbucks. Good selection of ice creams, good quality and not overly expensive. What makes them different from the rest is that your ice cream is cleverly fashioned into the shape of a flower on your cone, which makes it worth trying if only once. Service is quick even though there is usually a queue, payment is made first, then you exchange your ticket with the server for an ice cream. Due to the busy nature of the place you can feel a bit rushed when it comes to being served, so try to decide on your flavours while queueing (pistachio is good!).

Ice cream cone great for taking photos to upload to Instagram. As for the taste we are average. Is it worth queuing to buy it? I would say no. Normal prices for a tourist product. The smallest cone costs around €3

I can image in the summer months the queue would be out of the door.As you go in you order the size of ice cream, you are then given a ticket where you then jostle into position to hand your ticket over the counter so they can make your ice cream. Be aware people don’t like to queue and try to push in, but the lady behind the counter soon put them in their place.
Ice cream it’s self was delicious and definitely worth the price. Recommend a visit.

The flavors are delicious and the presentation is 10/10! Hot tip: when there’s a long line, just walk 2 minutes down the street, past St. Stephen’s church and on the opposite side of the road is the same store! We went twice to this second location and didn’t wait in line. We walked back to our Airbnb past the main store and there were at least 20 people in line. No need to wait!

Gelarto Rosa has become something of a Insta Mecca for Gelato lovers, as the layered structure of the ice cream actually is very "grammable". Having said this the product itself is not just easy on the eye, but also the tongue, as the flavors are unusual (try poppy seed), yet enyoable. This combination of view and taste has not stayed a secret, resulting in excessive lines in front of the parlour. If you go, or not, therefore depends on your time and appetite of waiting and for a beautiful, delicious piece of ice cream.

It's annoying to say this as an Italian, but this is one of the best ice creams I've ever eaten. Each flavor is a true concentrate of flavor and here even the eye has its part, which doesn't hurt. The only flaw, if you really want to find one, is that it's a little expensive, but in any case it's really worth it.

I cannot give GR 5 stars as the portion size is terribly small, which left us all disappointed. As you can see from the photos, the presentation of the gelato is quite pretty. But, like I mentioned, making the flowers means small amounts of ice cream. However, the gelato is rich and creamy and definitely tastes delicious!!

A great tourist attraction for people who want to take cool photos (and possibly post them to IG stories or other social media platforms, lol). The ice cream itself was very tasty, there were a lot of flavors to choose from and the staff was great. I've already been here once a couple of years ago and I'd come again. I love this place!

Two locations, both pretty close to Saint Stevens Basilica, where staff create the amazing rose ice creams.
Each take a couple of minutes to be created, though look amazing, and the gelato is pretty good… they had a selection of gelato and sorbets. Cones can have a number of flavour combinations.
I had strawberry & elderflower, yoghurt, and mixed berries!

I love the way they form an ice cream into a rose. There are many flavors to choose from. Especially the Rose flavored, tastes like actual rose with vanilla melting in your mouth

You can choose any flavours you like and also sample them. The staff will then make the rose ice cream based on your choice in front of you.

Nice ice-cream in a shape of rose. I like the idea. Great for instagramers. It's just behind the corner of Istvan's basilica so you can get pretty great view when enjoying your choice of flavours.
They offer vegan ice-cream too.

The ice cream shop is located in the center, in front of the Basilica of Santo Stefano. The composition of the rose-shaped cone is certainly a feature that visually does its part. The taste of the ice cream is also worth it. Prices all in all fair. Advised
