Relaxed, informal place. Actually a covered terasse under the old trees and near the cogwheel railway. Good selection of bistro meal, burgers, salad and soups.

I've been here a couple of times for light eating or cappucino and find it very cozy regardless of season (when cooler, plastic sides are lowered). It is a casual, comforting experience in the shadows of St. Janos Hosp and Vorosmajor park. Service is fast and friendly and the prices reasonable. Reachable by the 56A and 59B trams from Szell... The good thing about the place is the ambiance and the mood. However service is very slow: an hour passed and no one came to ask for our order until we had to flag a waitress and tell her. The food is very mediocre. I would compare it to mediocre fast food.

A nice place to go with friends for drinks and food. Burgers are excellent! Get them with mixed side dish (salad + fries). Staff are nice once you are seated, especially if you have a reservation. Unfortunately they tend to neglect you when you walk in (mainly on busy summer evenings) so be a bit pushy. Service is good and... More

Had good food and time here again with a friend. Bit too much whipped cream in the dessert, butnit tasted great! Thank you!

I originaly like this place, but why do they put out so many tables that the kitchen cannot serve? We waited more than an hour for salads and a burger... With a kid who was starving. We never got our food, we had to leave. We got some french fries. Unacceptable. Not recommended. This was on a Tuesday.

The Majorka is located in the Varosmajor park on the Buda side of the city, just 3 trolley stops or a pleasant 10 minute walk from the Szelll Kalman ter metro stop (metro 2 red line). In the spring and summer there is lots of outdoor seating. underneath large trees. Burgers are big and well crafted. They also have chicken... More

For a non-fancy evening, or lunch you may enjoy to dine in this place. Also good for a beer of a cocktail. Sitting outside might be a bit noisy - but who cares after the beer Nr.3?

We stumbled across this super eatery when we accidentally travelled one tram stop too far when connecting to the cog railway. Lovely food, wide choice, friendly staff and clean facilities. Great find.

This place has been here for a while and has a popular vibe attached to it. In the summer with the open air feel, it's even worth the extra 200huf on the beer, but in the winter it has to win foodwise if it's going to mean anything. Does it? Well, like a lot of restaurants in Hungary, steak is... More
