This was my first night in town we stayed in an apt near by. I had traveled from London and it was my first time in Hungary. This was a great way to start it out :) I adore pubs & have a built in comfort and trust for the good ones. This doesn't disappoint but may surprise some Americans... More

Came here during the quiet hours, so I can't speak to the atmosphere as such. But the beer is good, the place is nice and clean and has a great selection of Scottish whiskys.

A great pub to watch sport and enjoy surprisingly good food. The Guiness is cold and the Haggis spicy! Excellent steaks and Burgers and for some reason better burgers than are usually available in Budapest? All in all a great experience with a buzzy atmosphere.

Good screens all over when you want to watch the on-going game; Liverpool beat MU 0-0, nice small tables and always good atmosphere. I have also celebrated New Years eve 2015 here. Good times. And we got drunk, yes. Sometimes (often) there is live music; good! And possible to sit outdoor along the pavement, and the street is not too... More

My Husband and I were in this bar on Saturday, along with approx. 20 Scottish lads who had called into the bar to watch the football and have a drink. The boys asked the bar man to put on the Scottish matches as he said the owner would not like it, As one of the lads said, there are over... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. However I have to disagree with your comments. We always show Scottish football when it is being broadcast on any of the channels that we have. And we often post on our own facebook page that we prioritise Scottish games. The fact is that on Saturday 17 September all the... More

This place has a great atmosphere. It's very friendly and welcoming and the Scottish theme is brilliant, not just some pictures. There are Scottish beers and many whiskies available. It's popular with British expats and shows a comprehensive range of football.

Large group of us on stag weekend ended up here to watch Andy Murray in the Final. Great atmosphere with half of us being Scottish. Friendly and helpful staff and as well as choice of malt whisky, the food was great as well. Did a haggis and neeps to perfection!

Popped in to get out of the heat and ended up staying for a few hours. Lovely, friendly staff, who couldn't have been more helpful. Beer was lovely and very reasonable. The food was really tasty. 11 large beers and 2 main meals for £33. It wasn't that busy but then we were there in the early afternoon. It was... More

Welcome to the Caledonia Budapest, a Scottish pub. We are a village pub in the heart of Budapest, where you can have pint or two with your friends - or with your work mates, where you can watch your favourite team playing football, rugby or you name it. We are lucky to have so many nice customers, coming back year after year to experience what the Caledonia is: a cosy, home from home "local". What we offer is a great choice of whisky - truly the largest whisky selection you can find in Budapest. Also we have Belhaven beer on draught, with a selection of Hungarian and Czech lager. We also have a good, tasty kitchen, offering burgers, fish and chips, pies and British style sausages. Yes, we also have a full Scottish Breakfast, and yes, we serve Haggis too. Who is behind the Caledonia? I tell you: it's Patrick McMenamin, a Scottish guy from Edinburgh, and Zsuzsanna Bozo, a Hungarian. And a few more Hungarian staff to serve you. You have more question? Did you like your visit? Would you recommend us to your friends? Please do tell us.
