Very nice place. Big menu with a lot of choice! I am not used to so much choice. I didn't know what to order xD It is hundred percent vegan. I tried the pizza. It was nice! The staff speaks English and are very polite. I would recommend this place!

Being Hungarian I know what traditional national dishes should taste like. Napfényes is a great authentic vegan restaurant that gives you the Hungarian flavours experience without having to eat meat or dairy (eggs etc.) I love the gulash, stuffed cabbage, grill plates and the "salami" pizza too. Traditional Hungarian "túrógombóc" was amazing. Juices are great quality and affordable, ginger lemonade... More

I was able to try hungarian food without the meat. I enjoyed every course. :) Refreshing to see it so popular , with tourists and locals. The desserts were varied and delicious!

Very friendly staff and excellent food! We had the Hungarian Seitan and a gluten free tofu dish. Both were amazing. Very clean tastes - clearly produced from fresh ingredients.

We visited during a day trip to Bucharest at the end of a holiday around the Balkans. The food was exceptional and staff were friendly. The meal was extremely good value for money when compared to U.K. prices. The restaurant seemed to be well used by locals and visitors alike and has to be one of the best vegetarian /... More

I visited this place every night when I was in Budapest and it did not disappoint. The vegetarian dishes based on Hungarian dishes were amazing and the portion sizes were big enough to satisfy. The staff and the service were also amazing. It was hard to resist the cakes they have in the cabinet on the way out and needless... More

I have often eaten at Napfenyes' other location. This one is more spacious and so better for a larger group. I had some of my favorites. I started with a multi-vegetable freshly juiced vitamin juice. For soup, I keep coming back to the vegan bean guylas. It is so good that my ofttimes host, a confirmed carnivore, says that this... More

We started with cups of tasty Hungarian Bean Goulash soup. Then Suzanna had the Grill Platter and I had the Seitan Roast à la Brasov with Ratatouille. Everything tasted great. Our only regret was not leaving room for dessert which looked fabulous!

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
