The perfect place for a meal or just for a coffee break, in the centre of the city but in a very quiet place. We tasted a delicious chocolate and cranberries cake, a ham and vegetable wrap and a very good yoghurt with fruits. The service was great too: young staff, very kind and prepared (and listening good music).

We had a quick coffee here before going up to the Fisherman's bastillion. It was a great coffee and the atmosphere was cosy. Definetly recommend for a coffee break. Cakes looked delicious as well, but we didn't try it.

We went here for our last day and they do awesome croissants and brownies! The cappuccino we both had were tasty. It's nice for a quick coffee stop if you are on the go or you can stay and have a couple of drinks and relax like we did

This coffee shop is one of many. We stopped because it had desserts in a glass case. We needed to try a local/traditional dessert before leaving the country. So we ordered two coffees, and three desserts. The "Amy Piteje" appeared and tasted like strawberry-rhubarb pie. It was very good. The second was a cheesecake with a tart berry sauce. It... More

We came here because it was recommended and we are happy to pass this on - please go for a lovely chilled breakfast, especially on a warm sunny day when you can sit outside and look out to the beautiful Parliament building. What a little gem, tucked a street away behind Betthany Ter in Buda. Huge range of coffee and tea. We enjoyed the Manhatten Wrap, the New York Bagel, the Cheesecake and Amy's Pie. Very relaxed place, quite small inside but plenty of tables outside in the nice weather. They do take away drinks and food also. Excellent value and delicious... More

This was a fantastic little find which was luckily right around the corner from our hotel. It was a brilliant place to have breakfast. Great coffee, great filled and unfilled croissants, great cheesecake, great service and great value. Just a wonderful place, only sorry I found it towards the end of my trip. Don't miss it!

Thank Lisa H

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
