Popped in here on the way back to the hotel, around 8.30 pm. We were not that hungry, so opted for the goulash soup, the waiter( who may be the owner) was very courteous and friendly. The soup was very tasty, and reasonably priced. We also had a dessert and 2 beers each. Total cost £15 for 2 ppl bargain.... More

The worst service ever!! The two girls that served us were so miserable the food was good but the service ruined our stay. Then they do you with a service charge at the end which was not deserved.

I stopped in for a dessert and drink after supper. I ordered a piece of cake and an Aperol. The waiter asked me, "Would you like me to make it an Aperol Spritz?" I accepted his suggestion, having no idea that the addition of a little soda water to my drink would double the price. Since the café adds a... More

I happened by this place, and needed to eat breakfast and have a coffee-- regroup, and look up some things online.. Good coffee, service, free wifi. I asked for what was essentially a denver omelette and it was tasty and served fast. Had the place almost to myself and a nice window table. Would return and recommend.

Avoid this restaurant! They are trying to add 15 % to your bill. There are no notes concerning this in the menu. This is just ripping off the tourists!

Dear Thomsay ! In Budapest 80-90% of restaurants use the service between 10-20% ! We are in the middle ! We are here 15 years ago ! In this time only 2-3 people have a problem with service charge ! The food was good ? The staff was good ? The restaurant was nice ? I understand your problem !... More

This place would be a perfect choice if you’re in a hurry or if you want to eat quickly. We went there on a weekday at around 11PM, the chef was very nice to cook us some homemade pizzas à l’italiano. They were delicious and plentiful. Cherry on top of the cake was the ridiculous price of €5.

Popped in for a late lunch. Looks and feels like a French neighbourhood cafe and on that basis, the decor is nothing special. The food however was very good - all 5 of the guests in my party had different things from Veal to Goulash and Struedel and all plates were finished with gusto. Service was ok with English spoken... Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
