We visited Zeller Bistro in January 2016 and it was a really great visit. We were welcomed with a house's own champaigne(?) which was the best I have ever had. It has been awhile since we ate here so remembering details about food is hard, but I had great duck and we still remember Zeller Bistro as our best dining... More

This review of Zeller Bistro is well overdue! The first time I came to this lovely restaurant was nearly two years ago. I have eaten is many other places in the Budapest since then but can honestly say Zeller takes the lead. When you arrive, you'll be greeted with a complimentary glass of their own Elderflower champagne which is divine.... More

We went here for valentines evening and it didn't disappoint. We had an excellent table in the 'valentines section' with a lovely personal touch of valentines biscuit with our names on it and two glasses of local sparkling wine. For starter I had scallops my partner had the pate which were delicious. For main I had the chicken he had... More

I had left it very late to secure a booking but got a table for two the night before. This was a delayed Valentines meal and it was a very good choice. I would change nothing : the welcome, the food, the drink, the passion of the staff for the food and where it was sourced, all were top rate.... More

Went there for dinner. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the unique concept. The food was very fresh, well presented and the taste was well thought of. I asked for a special salad which wasn't a problem. If you go to budapest you have to try this restaurant! I highly recommend!

This was my first night in Budapest and I do not regret I booked a table here based on the reviews! Even though it was late, there was a nice crowd but the service kept up without any delays or problems. Nice suggestions, especially the "pink duck breast" was one of the best I've ever had. A bit pricey for... More

What a delicious meal! The atmosphere is great, food delicious and the beer amazing. Try the foie gras for starter and the duck for main, yum!!!!!!! Ask the waiter for Hungarian beers and you will be delighted. Very warm and welcoming setting. Highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner! Nice touch of welcoming drink and the little cupcakes at... More

A friend of mine recommended the bistro (on here actually!) and given its popularity, I decided to book a table one evening. I believe it mentions it on their Facebook page but booking is essential; due to its popularity, tables simply won't be guaranteed as available if you turn up on the hope of a table being free. I booked... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
