The place is all about catching random tourists, they have a lot of singboards outside and a barker. They offer so called tourist menu which is goulash, one of four main courses and a desert for like 9 euro, which is one of the cheapest offers in district, but the quality of food is not even comparable to homemade, leave... Pizza is fine, but from electric oven and not from wood fired pizza oven. Gulasch soup average, not spicy, seems not real Hungarian. Service average.

Very slow service and bad quality food. Around 2 hours waiting to get food served. Surely not a good option in the center of Budapest

Burger a bit rare, portion size good. A few veggie options. 'Large beer' is a stein. (~2pts). 18,000 (€64) for five main meals and drinks.

We stopped by here during our day out in Budapest. Man on the street won us over and we went in. Staff were friendly. Menu extensive and a fab location in the Main Street. We both had pizzas and they were served fast and hot. Good value too!

Despite the touristic looking of the restaurant the food is good and the service is quick and friendly! Around 30e for a starter, two mains dishes and 3 beers.

Good selection of dishes and cocktails on offer. We had pizza which was very yummy and freshly cooked. The cocktails were a little warm. The service was friendly and fast. Very enjoyable dinner with my daughter.

We still got this offer in vaci utca, it's close to our hotel. It's very good for lunch, my wife ordered pizza hawaii and for myself hungarian gulash soup with bread. It was very tasteful (recommendation for soup, please ask if you want spicy, the paste you have to insert in soup)! Perfect!

I came here for lunch on my final day after being persuaded to come in when reading the menu at the door. After then reading some dubious reviews in TA I opted for a pizza which was very average, tasty toppings but the base under cooked. I'm glad I just came here for lunch and bit dinner. The restaurant was... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
