After being served a drink promptly, we waited a good half hour if not 45 minutes before we were served any food. . They were not exceptionally busy. The food was good. The waiters pleasant and efficient, but, the worst thing was we were told...More

Lovely evening at Cafe Kor. The wait staff was appropriately attentive and had a sense of humor. The food was excellent. We had pate as an hors d’oeuvre, duck entrees and chocolate sponge cake for dessert along with very good red Hungarian wine. The atmosphere...More

I was seated immediately for late lunch, with no reservation, and eagerly anticipated my meal of chicken paprikash having heard of Cafe Kor for years. Maybe the chef/kitchen was having an off day, but I found the staple Hungarian dish to be nearly flavorless, dull,...More

We went here for a group meal and ordered lots of starters and mains to share. Everything was excellent! The wine was also very good, and great service. Lots of locals eating here as well, so will definitely be back!

This was by far the best meal we had in Budapest. The restaurant is centrally located and had a buzz about it. We each had a superb steak and with a couple of glasses of wine, the bill was £20 each - very reasonable.

A Hungarian friend recommended Cafe Kor, and I'm glad she did. Nice decor and atmosphere, decent service, well-made, tast food. I made fish with potatoes, which was simple, unpretentious, and tasty.

My husband and I went here for dinner based on a recommendation from a fellow instagramer. This was one of the worst service experiences I have encountered in all of Europe. I understand that the service industry isn’t what it is in the states and...More

I don't know if you can book - we had a party of 4 on a Friday night, and were able to be seated within 10-15 minutes. We arrived about 9:00 p.m. at night, though, so rather later in the evening.
