I have been around the area for decades and never bumped into this place. It was good, flexible. Bread was very good as well as tandoori.

Very nice place to eat. The Indian food were perfect and the hospitality too. The price is very good compared with any European Resturant. In general the Budapest is cheaper than other European countries.

Been loyal to Shalimar for years. Our family have enjoyed the food which was right for our taste. We mostly visited during weekends and the time we had to spend waiting for our dishes to come out got longer and longer. However today we encountered...More

Dear JMPeer7, We followed up on the issue with our waitress. She never ordered you to sit in the corner, she only requested you to take a seat while she buses the other table in the corner and clears the table you wanted to take...More

Even though the meals were fantastic and there's a huge variety of traditional Indian dishes, the overall mood of the place and the service was rather disappointing. I might give the place another try in the future with some friends or colleagues, but it's definitely...More

This indian restaurant was the best in town with a lot of awards a few years back, nowadays the food is still good (not th best), but the service is really slow and they have also trouble with cleanliness.

I visit Shalimar almost every time I'm in Budapest (ab. twice a year) with my son. Always top-quality food, you can find a huge range, you can even ask for how spicy you want your vindaloo. I like the atmosphere less than before they moved...More

Fabulous Indian food served in a cozy ambience. The Indian waiter readily helped us select our items and we were immensely satisfied with our choice. Murg lababdar and dal makhani must be tried

Unanimously acclaimed for its curries and tandoories, the Shalimar has over a decade and a half long history in entertaining Indian food lovers from far and wide. Handpicked ingredients account for the Shalimar's unequalled flavours, with its tandoor lending the various meats, vegetables and breads a distinctly smoke-infused aroma and a succulent or fluffy, consistency. Soothing Indian music will set the pace to your royal feast in an upmarket Indian atmosphere blended with a trendy feel.
