Up-hyped place in the heart of the city, with a celeb, italian owner Gianni Annoni. Actually, at the address there is a mini Pomo d'Oro Italy, little Italy with PDO delicatesse, restaurant, gelateria. The place Budapest downtown, there is a pay parking area a few steps away. Weekend free. Inside the restaurant has a South italian, rustic design as expected.... More

We visited on 18/2 on our first night of 3 in Budapest. This was the only restaurant where we didn't book until that evening but it at least matched the other nights' choices. We could only get a table for 9:30 because, as I've said, we left booking till late and it was a Saturday night and when we did... More

A packed restaurant with the door constantly opening tells you this place is good. Service excellent, food good, wine good. Being a Portsmouth fan and seeing an Inzaghi shirt ruined it a bit! If you like Italian well worth a visit. But make a reservation

This place is usually very crowded, for good reason. It is recommended to make a reservation, but there are times during the day, e.g. around 4 o'clock when there are plenty of free tables, and you can step in without a reservation. First of all: the meals are perfect, deliciously prepared using fresh ingredients, some of them imported from Italy.... More

Loved this restaurant. Food and wine beautiful. Staff ok not a Hungarian speaker I felt our main waiter would loose patience quite quickly. Guy who took out food order was very helpful. It's bit more expensive than most restaurants in Budapest but a very special treat and worth visiting.

We visited Pomo D'Oro for lunch and had a really enjoyable meal. I had the beef carpaccio for starter, which was presented nicely. I then had the tuna steak with spinach and potatoes which was delicious! We also enjoyed the desserts and thought the recommended Hungarian wine was also very good too.

We had a wonderful meal there and want to thank the staff for being so friendly and helpful with our child. Food was great, waiter had good suggestions for beer and wine, never felt rushed to leave as they were crowded but had a good time.

I called to Pomo d'oro for lunch and wasn't disappointed. I had a calzone Pizza which was delicious and followed it with tiramisu for dessert. Quite frankly I couldn't fault it. If I lived in Budapest I'd eat there at least once a week...or more. If you read this and you're considering visiting pomo d'oro then let me save you... More

This is a favorite of my wife and I. We dine here regularly and never leave disappointed. Excellent and traditional menu with VERY good pizzas. Ambiance is pleasant and casual but note that most patrons were nice slacks/jeans and a collared shirt... Sports coats are common, but not required. Highly recommended. Make a reservations.

One of my favourite Italian restaurants in Budapest. Truly authentic food, great service, international students. The food quality is really excellent

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
