Just came back from Budapest and had two evening meals in this place. The restaurant was nearly full all the time with a very good atmosphere. The food on offer was very well priced and a delight to eat. If you are a beer drinker then you are in for a good night!!!

we stumbled upon this gem by accident after returning from buda castle. it's a bit off but it's worth it. the service was welcoming and our host sure did make us laugh. With a wide selection of beers and very tasty main courses this place need to be a must!

We only chose to eat here because it was close to the hotel and we were needing a quick lunch before heading to the airport. The whole experience was a little underwhelming. To start with there were only two other people in the place which made it feel a little unloved. A few more did come in but it clearly... More

I have been here a number of times the last being in 2004. So I wondered how much it had changed. Not a lot was the answer. There is still a great selection of belgium beers at reasonable prices and the food is still great. I went for Mussels which were lovely and plump in a very nice sauce and... More

This place is right next to the Boutique Victoria Hotel, where we were staying and we visited it each night for drinks and food on the first night. They have a great selection of beer at reasonable prices and the food was lovely. Good atmosphere here and really busy which is always a good sign

Came across this place on way back to our hotel so for convenience decided to eat there. Fantastic range of food & drink - hundreds of beers! Waiter was happy to help my husband choose a good beer & it was so good he had to have a second pint. I ordered Belgian burger which was very tasty & my... More

Walking by stopped - in. So grateful we did. Service was prompt but not very attentive. Some (read little) English is spoken here but the old male waiters who served us seemed to get by. It took a while to get our food. I'd guess because all the food is prepared fresh. My duck breast with a blueberry sauce was... More

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
