Thought I'd reviewed here many moons ago. So apologies for that. Perfectly located opposite the square, really friendly staff and often film producers hangout, as there's a very busy location nearby, plus reasonably priced and perfectly cooked. Great people watching too.

a lot of locals visit this place and thus probably good. We've also tried it and were not disappointed about the food. Very nice and generous, fresh made burgers with spicy fries for a very reasonable price. Cool views outside overlooking a large place and the American Embassy.

Ordered a simple burger and had to wait more than an hour! The burger was ok, nothing special. Coffee is too expensive for the quality. Love the location though.

Half way our walking tour we stopped by for breakfast, we had the Farger breakfast, not for the lite eaters. Eggs, salami, sausage and tomatoes. I had the strawberry juice that wasn't at all what I expected but good and refreshing

As usual, after arriving in Budapest, I jump on my singlespeed and cyvle through Pest to reach the very calm and friendly Cafe Farger. Great espresso and croissant, muesli on demand and an awesome selection of breakfasts and burgers! The staff is the same for years which is very seldom in Budapest. Enjoy!

We only had 25 minutes before our embassy appointment to have something to eat with our two small kids. The chocolates are thick, the coffee great. I recommend the orange latte. The egg plates were all nice, fresh croissant.

Best Service, food, and the best hot wine ever. The service was amazing and the owner was present. He gave me tips about my soon to come move to Hungary.

Had two expensive capuccinos with no taste at all. Not enough for a café on this location. Nice in the summer when you can sit outside

I felt there as intruder. Rude waitress. I had prepaid breakfasts from apart hotel. My experience is whatever you order always get fried eggs sunny-side-up. Heavy greasy the only taste is salt. I wonder why Hungarian limit diet with fresh vegetables they grow? Paprika tomatoes.

This is one of those places in Budapest that survives simply because of its location. The food we ordered was good (bagel with bacon and egg) but the service was, unfortunately, typical of old-school Budapest. Simply put: the customer is never right and is simply tolerated. Visit at your own risk. They might be in a good mood.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
