First things first, the portions here are huge. Very very huge. Me and my boyfriend came here both big foodies and him being 6ft 4, he can usually finish anything you put in front of him and eats like a horse and this is the one place where I have seen him fail. If you want a light lunch then... More

I went to this restaurant to try some typical Hungarian food. Event though the restaurant is in the tourist area, is full of local people as well. We had goulash soup (very good) and a schnitzel with the size of a pizza. All the portions are big, so be careful when you order, because is very difficult to finish the... More

I had the mushroom ghoulash which was delicious, my mum had the meat version which was equally delicious both came served with Hungarian noodles which tasted amazing a cross between pasta and dumplings I would say! My daughter had the wok roasted vegetables and they came served with rice. Again... More

And we asked if we can sit at the other table with bench with is bigger and looks more comfy. The waiter who led us to... More

I haven't been in Hungary in 9 years and no other restaurant offered that traditional home style cooked food as FATAL restaurant did! Awesome traditional rustic atmosphere with an amazing staff. The menu offers an amazing selection of succulent Hungarian fare. I definitely recommend the Fatal salad a giant martini glass filled with fresh crisp garden salad, and don't get... More

We tried Fatal as several friends and family had eaten there and heartily recommend it, we had read on trip advisor that the front man/owner was rude, but I feel thats been addressed, the guy that dealt with us could have been politer, cheery smile and nothing was to much of a problem, good tasty Hungarian food and huge portions... This is our 2nd visit to Budapest and we went to Fatal the day we landed. The Goulach soap was amazing . we ordered the schnitzel - a huge portion that would have been enough for 3 people. The service is fast, the waiters professional and the food is fresh and tasty. we went back another evening - it was... More

Please run away from this place. We came to the restaurant and before we got sitted we went to the toilet. After we came out, the owner of the restaurant came and insulted us and shouted that this is not a public toilet and told us to leave the place. And we were about to eat there lol... What a... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
