Very good and quality food. Interesting menu but short the list of desserts (only two). Definitely we come back one more time.

Dinner for 5, disappointing vine selection, average food, no value for money. We have advertised this restaurant for our guests as a 1st class place - it was a bad situation :-(

Visited with 4 friends on a promotional weekend, so it was a bit crowded, a bit busy but this living atmosphere actually felt really good :-)) All of us could find the special choice of that day with the help of the young and energic staff. Very polite, very supportive, giving information about the meals and the processes how the... More

We were there in the second time and both was really really good. We were there with this dining week event, and really enjoyed it. They do not want to just do it and then let us go. They really care with the customers, asking our opinion. The food was just wooow. The atmosphere is good like rustic. I can... More

This was the second time I was in this restaurant but I'm still amazed. The service is just brilliant, but really!, the food is like an art, and very tasty. We had all sort of things to eat but everything was very good. They also have good wines, although a but expensive for my taste. Still would recommend this restaurant,... More

What a pleasant surprise to find this transplant from Big Sur just down the hill from the Hungarian royal palace. Sunday brunch is awesome -- great jazz, great food, great value, great laid back ambiance. This is almost Budapest's answer to the Nepenthe, without the Pacific Ocean or the high costs.

Not sure this is typical. Had a business group dinner here. Menu included app and salmon, duck, or beef stew main course. Food was good wine better.

What an incredible find! Terrific buffet just below castle hill. Very family friendly all-you-can-eat California style restaurant that features wide selection of meats, fish, vegetable dishes, and desserts, drinks included. Great value, delicious food, fantastic laid back experience.

We've been to this restaurant multiple times over the past years and it's always a pleasant experience. Nestled in the side of the Buda castle, it offers and inside and 2 outside seating areas which can be opened up in the summer. service is nice and the food is very pleasant too - drinks are a bit pricy perhaps.

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
