This was my favourite traditional cafe experience in Budapest. Had a great chocolate cake with great coffee, served in a really opulent hall! As well, I loved the musical ensemble that performed there! Highly recommended!

Overrated, overpriced and unfriendly service. Don’t go here. Let me say the one positive thing: We were a group of six and made a reservation a day before. So we skipped the long line and were promptly escorted to our table. Sadly, that was the...More

An amazing place to visit if only for the ambience. Old world charm along with a string quartet and piano playing in the background. This is not cheap though the food along with the service is well worth a visit. Don’t miss when in Budapest.

We did enjoy the gorgeous atmosphere, but the food was just average and overpriced. Next time I would simply walk into the beautiful lobby of the New York Palace hotel and peek into the cafe. Then go get yummy coffee and pastries elsewhere!

I went here with a few friends, and we were all absolutely blown away. Awesome architecture, beautiful food, incredible atmosphere! A definite must-do!! Would recommend 100%. I had eggs benedict, totally delicious!

We had brunch in this beautiful building and were impressed with the decor and the band. The service was excellent, but we waited about 20 minutes for a table, so a reservation is recommended. The coffee was perfect, but if you are tempted to order...More

We have reserved a tale as we wanted to avoid the queue. I was not happy with the table and we were immediately seated to a better situated one. The decor is lavish and really beautiful. We only had coffee and cake so I can't...More

This place is beautiful but very expensive for small quantities of breakfast food. If you go for breakfast I recommend reserving a table and having the buffet!

District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly
