Basic, home cooking style, Estonian food at moderate prices. The location is in the old town, on a side street, away from the main square. The restaurant itself is downstairs at the cellar level, it’s charming though austere. There were six of us for lunch and we had an assortment of entrees, meat, chicken, fish etc. Every one of the... Small underground, cosy, friendly place. easily missed as it is set back slightly from the street. Lovely, lovely bread with herby butter. DELICIOUS!!! Then we shared some smoked chicken, smoked beef and smoked pork slices served with the most lovely home made mayonnaise. After that Granny's Sunday stew - perhaps slightly over mustardy and my plate of Elk stew were... More

Nice service, also in finnish. Food is not gourmet food , but it feels quite authentic simple estonian food, and its good. The restaurant is small but very cosy and warm.

We where there after a long walk through the old town and had to wait a few minutes till a table was free, because it is very small. They serve good, dark beer and traditional estonian dishes. I had a really amazing elk stew, my friend had some extraordinary meat. It is not the cheapest restaurant, but it's totally worth... More

It was a very cozy restaurant. We visited the place twice during our trip on the last weekend of February (24--26). On the first time we had a lovely dinner over warm candle light and we very much enjoyed our waitress with a french braid who could speak German and help us with recommendations for food and answered all our... Thoroughly grateful we found this place on a Saturday night. Looked around town for a good restaurant with space, the best rated were all booked out. This one we only noticed by chance as it's really not obvious and the food was excellent. Decor was interesting, really cosy atmosphere. Small venue so service is very good and personal. Food was... We had dinner there last Saturday night and the food was delicious, however the staff totally destroyed the good experience by being extremely rude and unfriendly. It was two Russian ladies who served the food that night. Needless to say there was no tip for them.

The atmosphere was quant, homely, relaxing and friendly. The food was local fare, cooked and presented perfectly, language barrier sorted by providing a sample before selecting some items on the menu and ladies must have been the owners as their attention to our enjoyment was paramount to them.

With a group of 30 people and a reservation at 8, we were kicked out at 10 sharp - literally being asked to leave by the waiters. "You must know we close at 10" The food was actually okay, however there was no break between the courses, the desert and coffee came within 1 minute after the main course was... More

What a lovely, homely restaurant. It doesn't sit many but that's what makes it so special. The room was done out just like an old person's house and it really added to the charm. Our waitress was called Anneli and she made us very welcome. I opted for the roast chicken followed by the delicious chocolate cake for desert. Definitely... More
