Although this restaurant was recommended by various sites, it was a great disappointment. We ate downstairs in a setting that was ok, but not as nice as the upstairs room. The food was good, but our experience was marred by a family whose infant was...More

The Leib restaurant in Tallinn operates in what was once a club for expat Scots which explains why they have a bust of Sean Connery in the lovely courtyard. The place is lovely but so is the food. It is mushroom time and they did...More

Hurrying us into ordering, introducing only one among many dishes, failing to recommend on wine. I recognise their effort to work with the local community but there are many other choices in Tallinn that offer better value for money and more enjoyable dining experience.

Small menu with a good selection of tasty meals, also vegetarian (at least the starters, as we remember). Very friendly, attentive and quick service staff and a cosy atmosphere in the wooden dining hall. We can fully recommend this place!

At Leib, we bring the farm to your table. Over the years, we have built a family with dedicated local farmers, fishermen and producers to bring you food with flavour directly from the source. Leib is a labour of love, a three-way partnership between a chef, a sommelier and the farmers. We plan our menus together, with wine playing just as an important role of the dining experience as the food itself. Estonia has many talented brewers and distillers. Together, we bring you local ciders, craft beers, and homemade liqueurs, many of which we brew ourselves. Every dish, every ingredient tells a story. At Leib, we want to invite you to sit down at our table and tell you these stories. The name Leib means black bread in Estonian, something that is essential to any meal. Our menu changes with the seasons, a challenge that we love, but the black bread remains the same. The bread, much like the restaurant, is a reminder of the simple pleasures of honest, local food made with heart!
