Walked in and sat down. Took 5 minutes before it was explained that we just went to ‘desk’ and ordered as there was no real menu. We had the elk soup that you slurp from bowl and a meat pie (bit like a steak slice...More

This restaurant is located in a touristy trap square but is totally worth it! For 14 euros my friend and I ate ox sausage, elk stew, wild boer/elk pie, pickles and cider! We even got to stab our own pickles out of the barrel!! Food...More

For somebody looking for a quick snack - which goes along with a chat with the landlady - a nice experience. Menu not existing, food order quite challenging if you don’t know what you want. In the end, however, quite simple: sausages, wine, bread or...More

Ok, is not really, but it looks and feels like the Hound is about to come in demanding chicken. I absolutely love this place. The pies are great! My favorite is spinach, but they are all excellent. Beef jerky is spiced and delicious. Elk soup...More

It would be a cool medieval place if it weren't too dark inside. I get that back in the medieval times that there were only candles but i feel like they were even saving money on the candles 😅 The place is really small which...More

Dear elaishaley Thank you for your review. Yes, the Tavern ladies are quite 'brusque' but this is part of the 'live theatre' experience. As soon as you cross the threshold we serve you with foods and drinks that would have been available to you in...More

I doubt that, as they didn't know about gluten in 1453. But it's more of a place where you go for a quick lunch, so it won't take long to figure that out. They got soup (mostly meat, you gotta ask), pies (like a shepherd's... More

Located under the 12th Century Raekoda (Town Hall) building in the main square of Old Town Tallinn, Kolmas Dragon (or the Third Dragon) is a small medieval-themed tavern. This charming eatery with its beautiful-period interior is hosted daily by a group of petulant housekeepers whose job it is to entertain all-comers with their brusque and rude service manner. However this is all purely theatrical - a style that is closer to the behaviour that one would have received in the medieval ages. Specialities that are served include beef ribs, elk soup, savoury pastries, pickles from a barrel, teas, wines and the famous house beer. All those who enter should therefore be ready for not only tasty foods and beverages but also to some exceptionally entertaining service.
