Only jumped in here for quick bite to eat and a drink. Friendly staff and plenty of seats to sit with a smoking area outside in the back. Asked for some bread and butter but beware, they somehow thought putting dill in the butter would be a good idea. Leave the butter alone guys, it's fine. Plenty of sport on... More

If your looking for not just your average Irsih pub in the center of Riga that´s the place to go! Lots of different beer from Latvia, Ireland, Belgium and other European countries. The atmosphere was very good, especially because some of the furniture did not fit. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The place looks quaint and like something you could just stroll bye without noticing. I am glad I took a chance and went in without having any knowledge of their online reviews. This was an amazing surprise. Their appetizer fried beef and chicken is also perfect. The cost is incredible for the quality. 1 appetizer, two beers a shot fish... More

We headed over to watch Ireland dessimate England, but the evening was almost ruined when a party of English fans on a stag weekend arrived. A few of them were very loud and abusive to staff, being a bit overly touchy feely. The poor waitress handled them well, but was glad to see the back of them, as were we... More

Really enjoyed this place. The staff were polite and helpful, the beer was great, especially the Blegian triples. Food was typical pub fare and reasonably priced. Popular with stag do's and we enjoyed their sing-songs. Best time to visit it between 5-7pm for happy hour when drinks are reduced by a third. Go there you'll like it.

Popped in here for a quick drink with partner, very friendly staff, average price for drinks. Nice atmosphere, also had few tv screens dotted about which was nice showing sport channels.

Nice Irish pub. You should visit this place, because it's the oldest one in Riga. Lovely staff and good drinks!

Paddy Whelan's - the first Irish pub in the Baltic's! Since 1995 we have been offering more than 50 beloved local and global beers and ciders, including the classic Irish Guinness, our own Užava, Brenguļi, Valmiermuiža and other beers, and many more. We also offer a wide range of foods, and because we never want to limit our taste buds, we have traditional Irish dishes, popular burgers and sandwiches, breakfast and lunch offers, popular Latvian foods for our local fans, and our pride and joy - homemade Indian foods at affordable prices! We are still one of the most popular venues in Rīga for live sports broadcasts, leisurely evenings, and a chance to meet local Latvians, local foreigners and guests of the city who have stopped by for a pint of beer, a glass of whiskey and a tasty meal. We are a member of the Latvian Association of Hotels and Restaurants, and we are delighted to help out in improving the hospitality environment in Rīga and throughout Latvia. No matter from where you come and no matter what you do on a daily basis, Paddy Whelan's will always welcome you. Come on in, have a seat, and enjoy a glass of beer. Maybe two.
