It offers traditional food from Latvia in a modern cuisine format. My choice was fish and mushrooms. Ample list of white wines. The homemade ice-cream was really good.

Both fish dishes (cod and sturgeon) were beautiful cooked and both were served with spinach ice cream which is worth trying. I also had the black sesame seed ice cream, interesting. Local wine worth trying. Very pleasant surroundings and excellent service.

Came here for lunch and returned for dinner. Good Latvian food, amazing black bread (I asked for more), a good selection of beers, generous mojitos.

Visited this restaurant on the evening of 18th March 2017. Fantastic fish starter and main course, excellent service - waitress spoke very good English, very efficient and friendly! Personally, a real plus point was that the coffee was served with warm milk. Highly recommended!

As always restaurant reviews are highly subjective in terms of quantity and quality of food and the ambience of the restaurant. What we like others may not, for various reasons. Visited this restaurant twice, when the food and wine were enjoyable. We were so impressed...More

Had seen some good reports and expected a lot, but it wasn't to be. We did have some very good salmon and Perch, but the Boullabaise was just a very poor and basic soup, nothing like it should and I've had on many occassions. Wine...More

”Strong and tough people live in this quiet corner of the earth ” Vilis Lacis says on coastal Latvians. In 1939, a feature film was made after his romana ”Fisherman`s Son” , depicting life in fishing villages, fishermen, their joys and troubles, harsh and full of risk everyday life. One generation inherits tools from the other, working methods and hope to become wealthier and independent.Oscar is a fisherman`s son, who is fighting for these ideals, with a bright mind, strong will and faith in a better tomorrow.
