Sadly very average food. Not quite sure why it's called a tapas place as they don't serve tapas. A limited menu, like warm prawn curry (but tasty), lukewarm and bland prawn risotto. Unfortunately thought this would be a nice place for our last night in...Tavira - we were wrong! There are better places.More

The restaurant has a good ambience but somethings need a renovation (e.g., toilets). The food was good but the dish "Polvo à Lagareiro" was not cooked in the traditional Portuguese way. The vegetable soup and the vegetable curry were average (the curry could have more...flavour and coconut milk). The prices were a bit high for the quality, too. The waiters were nice and attentive.More

We received a lovely warm welcome, l can't praise the high enough. They were run off their feet. There was no draft beer available despite having four pumps. My husband chose octopus with sweet potato, unfortunately not available. The second selection was cod with potato,...the cod was overcooked and very dry. The prawns in the prawn curry were lovely but the sauce had no distinguishable taste. The mixed salad was well presented and tasty. The mushroom risotto was good, plenty of mushrooms and piping hot. Unfortunately there was no selection of desserts, just the one available. Not our preferred choice. Considering we were dining early evening it was quite disappointing.More

The menu of the restaurant is OK, woth a nice mix of standard fish and meat dishes and vegetarian ones. Unfortunately, I didn't find the quality of the food particularly high. The legumes a bras were made with chipsticks rather than actual potatoes (and the...accompanying salad was uninspiring), and the risotto was overcooked. The mushrooms were nothing great either. A big plus for the available options, but nothing more, I'm afraid.More

Good spot for lunch. Very busy and deserved so. Couvert included bread, olives, carrots, tuna pate and garlic butter. Soups were excellent and a mixed salad was plenty for two. Reservations recommended. +351951062175

Lovely traditional Portuguese tapas bar. The menu is very varied with lots of local dishes, prawn curry is a highlight and the goats cheese starter. Great service, friendly staff & lovely atmosphere in the bar. I have to mention the music as both times I...was there- excellent tunes which added to the lively atmosphere!More

Me and my husband were welcomed every time we visited this restaurant. They were kind and thoughtful. The menu isn't big and that's good because more care is taken with the preparation and presentation. Food was delicious especially the risotto and the octopus dishes. The...prices were very reasonable . Great place.More

It just has the feeling of being good, and it was. Great choice, staff, location, vibe. A daily specials board, good wine list, staff friendly and helpful, though english is limited.

We started with the bread/olives/pate mic which was excellent. Then we had the fried prawns, prawn omlette & sauted mushrooms with a side salad. All were delicious. We immediately recognised the freshness of the ingredients here - the salad was fresh and original. The wine...was also excellent - a dry Douro reserva. For desert we had the Banoffe pie and a Pudim - both were tasty and very light. We look forward to returning.More

Lovely waitress, shame about the food. The soup and cheese on apple tapas were ok, but very basic. The mushrooms were swimming in soy sauce. Unfortunately the Tofu was inedible and looked like a pile of beige mush. Very bad for vegetarians. Vegans should avoid....Even the glasses smelled. And it was cold.More

As others have said this is a couple of minutes from the riverside and tourist trap restaurant but for that it was very busy when we visited later on on a Sunday evening. The tapas were terrific and overall the value of the meal was...very good. We had Tuna Tartare and some bread and olives to start (sorry no photos) but the tuna was excellent. Then barbecue octopus and prawns with a honey and ginger sauce. Both were really tasty. The staff were friendly and we also had a bottle of red. Total bill was €73. Pretty good value.More

The Food was very good and tasty. We only had some tapas and green wine from the area. The gambas, baby squid and oysters were very fresh and tasty. I loved the goat cheese topped with a kind of pumpkin jam on a slice of...fresh apple.More

Lovely tapas restaurant off the main touristy area - we wanted tapas and could not find a place on the Main Street until a local waiter told us if this place. We are glad we went- we ordered 4 tapas dishes - and 3 would...have been enough- portions were generous and my favorite dis was the octopus salad.More
