Came here over the Easter Long Weekend so we knew it would be busy. Came just before Lunch time so we were able to get a table. Lots of staff on serving and behind the counter getting the food ready. We did have to wait a bit for the food but you could tell they were busy and we expected... More

This place was mobbed on a public holiday and seemed to be an institution. Best thing is that nothing "needs" to come in batter as there is a grill barbecue and seafood servers too offering prawns, lobster, scallops, octopus, squid, oysters, mussels the lot. (Mostly with salad and chips) it is fast food, but efficient and could be relatively healthy.... More

Kailis is a huge place with a grilled seafood kitchen and a typical chip shop (also with a bar and a dessert shop sandwiched between) We ate there twice for dinner. The first time we went for the grilled side which was very tasty but yes pricey. The fish and seafood were all fresh and the marinated octopus side was... More

The Kailis Fish Market Cafe is situated right on the water, overlooking the fishing boat harbour. The food is good; we had fish and chips, with a side of salad' plus a glass of wine each. The cafe is a favourite with locals and visitors. By the way, seniors get a discount, so don't forget to ask if you qualify.

We had been recommended to eat at Kailis Fish Market Cafe for our lunch during our brief visit to Freemantle. We are sorry now we didn't take time to look at other options. Perhaps Kailis' is an institution, however I doubt we would rerun on another occasion. The seagulls were the main put off, loud, pooping on the floor and... More

Very cheap but food was crappy. I ordered battered snapper and chips. Fish was hard and chewy and the chips were cold. Friends we were with ordered a seafood platter for 2 and for the price of it there was definitely not much food. One person could have eaten that on their own. Joes fish shack is across the water,... This cafe serves the best Grilled scallop ever!!! tender and juicy. It tends to be very busy around 12:00 during lunch. I would suggest to go early around 11:30 to get a comfortable seat and big table, if you are in the big group.

Went to Kailis yesterday with my partner for lunch; we had a great time however certainly paid for the experience. We enjoyed the BBQ seafood platter, six additional natural oysters and some marinated octopus. We also had five drinks between the two of us. All of the food was great, well cooked and fresh. However the lunch cost in the... More
