I have been seeking a good Chinese food location for my biz trips to DC and when I’m not near Chinatown This place exceeds expectations. The food was excellent, and the wait staff was terrific. I will definitely return.

Finally a restaurant that uses sichuan peppers in its food. We started with soup that was great. We ordered Ma po Tofu and sichuan greenbeans, both were outstanding and had sichuan peppers in them, which has not been the case for at least a few...More
We were craving good Sichuan food on our short DC trip and Sichuan Pavilion, recommended by the concierge at the Ritz Carlton hotel, was a perfect surprise. Everything we tasted was just delicious...duck appetizer, a big bowl of fish soup, tofu, bok choy, twice cooked...More

The food was quite good served well. This is the first place I've been in for some time that charges for refills of their flat, tasteless, unbranded diet cola. For this reason I left no tip for the first time in years.....irritating.
When I first entered this spot I noticed the large number of Chinese diners. I know why this is the case. The menu was extensive. The food was hot and plentiful. The cost was average for downtown. Do try.
Restaurant was 25% full of local Chinese people ()usually a good indicator). Menu looked good but the quality was only Fair. The flavors were nothing special and in fact, disappointing. The service lacked any desire to impress or serve. I will not return.
