The fine dining restaurant in the Jefferson hotel is worth the splurge for a special occasion. Intimate rooms with well spaced tables make for a quiet environment with easy conversation. Expert service contributes to the excellent atmosphere. And the food matches the setting.

The Plume is such a great place for drink or tea and a snack or meal. Very relaxing, totally upscale. The Shirley Temple presentation for kids is out of this world. Nice patio. Can't find a better mellow place to hang for a bit in...More

aside from grotesque price/value being surreal, when choosing the most expensive winemenu, you expect a Sommelier to spend a little time explaining what he or she is pouring, we got 10 seconds of I really haven´t got time for you service, so eat somewhere else

Plume is a lovely, quiet sophisticated setting for a very good dinner. I think the prix fix and tasting menus are well priced for what you receive. However the wine pairings are way way overpriced, and so while we usually select the pairing with our...More

This restaurant is pricey, but a nice place for a quiet lunch and perfect for a business lunch. The service was great and the food was delicious!

Plume was recommended by a local for a special occasion dinner. The restaurant is small and intimate, with tasteful decor. Plume offered attentive service, we wanted for nothing during our visit. Important to me, the staff was friendly and personal. The menu was diverse and...More

The service is impeccable and the wines on the chef's tasting menu were superb. Every course was interestingly plated and delightful. We enjoyed every bite of the over 3 hours! Loved the little extras, of course, but the several major courses were perfectly prepared. Great...More

  • This restaurant is at The Jefferson, Washington DC
As the only Forbes Five Star rated restaurant in DC, Plume at The Jefferson, serves as a discreet and elegant backdrop to the artistry of our skilled culinary staff. Plume's classic dishes are inspired both by the gardens of Monticello and the refined palate of Thomas Jefferson. Dishes are expertly executed with lighter, contemporary finishing touches that appeal to today's enlightened palates.

Accompanying Plume's innovative menu, the wine program features more than 1,300 labels with some dating back to 1720. Recipient of Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, we invite you to savor a bottle of the restaurant's more than 50 vintages, including some that Jefferson himself enjoyed in his time, as well as newer wines he might select were he alive today.
