This is really a nice looking new restaurant in the Dupont Circle area of Washington DC. It is located in the refurbished Carlyle Suite hotel. The space is very clubby and nicely appointed. There were 4 of us for dinner. We were seated and ordered drinks including a Tanqueray martini, the server came back after taking the order and told... More

I'm so sorry to keep reading such bad reviews about Twist. My experience was great! The food was great. The service was great. Granted, the place was a little small, but I choose to describe it as cozy. And I didn't hear any jazz band, however the food was good enough to make hum and dance in my seat, so... More

My friend purchased a Living Social deal for brunch. Two for $30.00. We arrived at 12:00pm to a packed dining room. We opted for the second room set-up for brunch. The desserts were old, runny and didn't look appetizing. The buffet had fish with old bay. Some of the fish was burned. Who puts burned food on a buffet yet... More

#1 The seating is too crowded. I felt like I was sitting on top on the other guests in that small room. I even accidentally stepped on a lady's foot at the table next to me #2 The line for the omelette & waffle stations move entirely too slow. They either need more chefs making omelettes & waffles or separate... More

If you love bad service, dishonest management, overcrowding, a hot room and OK food, then this place is for you. For starters, we were told we had to have a reservation, yet the manager never asked anyone their name, he just seated people first come, first serve and we even asked, what about the reservation? We were told people must... More

We heard of the restaurant by word of mouth. Saw a living social coupon, so we decided to check it out. We made a reservation 3 months in advance, but we weren't asked our name upon arrival. The food was above average. Good omelet and dessert station. The smoked salmon was great. Not sure I'd return without the special. Note:... More

Okay, so the restaurant is small and relatively unoccupied. As an Asheville foodie, these are not great signs, but we have reservations and DC is packed so we have dinner. Service was quick and courteous. My crab cakes were crabby, as in lots of lump crab and little filler. Salad was fresh, fresh, fresh. Delightful surprise! Loved it so much... More

We had the chance while staying at the Carlyle to have the Sunday brunch at Twist , our family had a blast , enjoyed our meal , the drinks , and the live music , we will definitely be back if in DC , the place was jamming with locals and hotel guets alike , nice atmosphere overall !!
