My breakfast was freshly made and the breakfast sandwich offered some variety from the normal meat, egg and cheese that you can get almost anywhere. However, I was there more than 10 minutes for just a breakfast sandwich and the egg was not a fried...More

Great breakfast and lunch menu. Pricing is reasonable and service is excellent! Had eaten here twice during our weekend trip to Washington DC.

We stopped here mostly to use the restroom and grab a quick snack after a long drive into DC. 2/3 of the bathrooms were being renovated/cleaned/fixed (not really sure what was going on). My wife just tried to get a regular tea and ended up...More

We came by the end of the day and planned to have a break. There was nearly nothing left. The baguette looked very white. Finally we decided to take away only 1 pain au chocolat. The waiter did all her best not to see us...More

Came in on a Sunday morning early and waited just a few moments for fresh baguette right out of the oven. Had a lovely latte while waiting and enjoyed a pastry. It doesn't get any better!

We ate here both days we were in Washington D.C. Excellent and fresh food, great coffee and non-caffeine drinks. I had an open-face smoked salmon sandwich for lunch one day and french toast the next. Both were excellent. My husband enjoyed the coconut greek yogurt...More

Loved the omelettes made in the real french way. Wash them down with gourmet coffees. Prompt, friendly service and reasonable prices - nothing near as good for blocks around.

We visited Le Pain in Washington as we like the one in NYC so much. I had the Chicken curry open sandwich and a pot of coffee and it didn’t disappoint, very tasty! I would definitely recommend checking one out.

Where to eat breakfast while visiting Washington D.C. out of the hotel? Le Pain Quotidien is the answer. Coffee is very good. The Salmon scallion Omelet was excellent as is the bread. Clean, friendly service and 1/2 the price of the hotel restaurant.
