this seafood markett is on a stop on the city sights tour. Its in a seafood market on the potomac. the food was amazing. Very fresh prepared quickly and was great. Note there is no place to sit, just an area near the dock where you can stand and eat. but well worth it

Good over stuffed shrimp Poboy! The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. It can with normally dressed, but with american cheese, which I would have requested to leave off if I'd known. Will definitely go back

I've gone here a few times when I've been craving calamari. This seems to be the only place in the Fish Mart with it. This time I ordered a combo of calamari and a crab cake. I liked the crab cake more than the calamari. I'd call the calamari average. The crab cake was large and had good flavor. The... More

This place was cool. The market was a busy place on a sunday afternoon and Jimmy's is one of few places at wharf to get prepared seafood. This little joint was crowded too! You could tell the locals ate here. I had the flounder platter and it was ALOT of food. My husband had fish sandwich and he was stuffed.... More

Been coming here for years. A trick to park some days, keep an eye on the pedestrians and traffic while you weave into a parking space. Fresh fish crabs (steamed or live ) and other seafood. Interesting to see it's all in barges locked together. Walk up window for orders. I get the platter that is big enough to share... More

If you want a non DC experience in DC then you might want to head to Jimmy's. For the matter just head to the Maine Ave Fish Market. Any way Jimmy's is one of a several places in the Fish Market where you can get a quick bite to eat. Their menu is well seafood, what else would you expect... More

$50 plus for two orders of shrimp and two crab cakes, and a fish taco. No place to sit. Not great food at all.

Jimmy's Grill is a small shack on the Waterfront with no seating. On most evenings there is a line of people ordering some of DC's best seafood. I love the crab cakes, which are pure, nicely season crab with no filling. He easily has the best prepared food at the market.

So in what might seem like a seedy waterfront seafood market, is authentic and worthy of a visit in D.C. as any. Jimmy's is know for desserts too, but I'm always too full to try them. An $11.95 Oyster (Fried) Platter includes a heaping mess of fresh Fries, house-made Cole Slow (other options too) and 2 in-house baked Dinner Rolls... More
