We were part of a large volleyball tournament in town for the holiday weekend. We held our team dinner at Old Ebbitt Grill, and the service and food were both great. This is a large restaurant, and it was very crowded on a Sunday night. They handled our large group very well. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

From the oyesters which were PERFECTLY shucked to the shrimp cocktail, crab claws and clams. Ham and bean soup we had each day as it was the daily soup every day and was really good... More

I found this restaurant on yelp while I was looking for a nice inexpensive restaurant to have dinner at. It had great reviews so I decided to try it and happy I did. I suggest making a reservation as there was about 20 people waiting to be seated when we arrived. Once arriving and waiting in line to get to... More

Let me start by saying the service was great. The food was good. Not sure if it was what we ordered, but it was just good. Not what I HAD to have. Really loud during happy hour, and that also takes away from a $100 meal for two. I will not be back. DC has so much to offer

My husband really wanted to go to Old Ebbitt because he'd been when on business in DC and wanted to show us. I did not expect the restaurant to be as large as it was, though still quaint. I had swordfish fish tacos and they were amazing. The fish is fresh which was obvious by the taste of the food.... More

Old school place across from Treasury. Many DC personalities past and present know of and have patronized Ebbits. Very good food. Menu has many changes during the week , along with mainstays. Drinks good , wines nice and beers come in several varieties . Staff is professional and knows when to check in or back off. The back area with... More

We were expecting a great time at this historic bar and restaurant, but were surprised at what an excellent experience it was. The food was delicious, we never felt rushed, had a wonderful waiter who told us the history of the Old Ebbitt and the famous people he had met. He made it clear, however, that we were equally important... More
