Very disappointing service. I read the reviews saying the service was poor, but went there anyway and it was as bad as the reviews. I had only one drink and the bartender never returned to me and asked how I was doing. I had to ask for my bill and even ask for my change. I will never go back... More

DC is a town of underpaid millennials and Madhatter is one of those places that caters to them. Nothing wrong with that as long as you know it going in. Madhatter is Alice in Wonderland themed (get it-Madhatter?) and consequently the decor is mildly fun, funky and whimsical. Personally, I would have embraced the theme even more to better differentiate... More

Our first night here she planned our whole trip in a few words. Thank you for the warm welcome. Drinks are good.

Ordered the mad hatter rum punch bowl and an appetizer. Ordered nachos and a hamburger specifically said no cheese. I mentioned to the brand new waitress (first day) who is Italian and doesn't like cheese, donut was over emphasized with no cheese. Sooo.... she didn't come back for ten mins, we asked for a burger with no cheese, she apologized... More

When I went it was decorated for the holidays and it was magical. The menu didn't seem special originally, but the food was actually delicious. They also have expensive their own house cinnamon tea. Service was good

Housed in an old building the food is ok but the facilities are old and lacking. The bar was well stocked but several people complained that the waiter was mixing the drinks up when brought to the table. Probably won't visit again.

I haven't been here during the day, but during the night time this place it's great. For dancing and drinking this place it got what you need. Just a tiny bit overcrowded in the dance floor, but other than that great place and great atmosphere. One of the best bar in the DC area. No cover charge, so go and... More

Favorite place to just dance on Friday and Saturday nights !! You don't have to wait in line to get in and the music is modern pop club music. Super fun !

Nice outdoor area. Very appealing as you walk by. But, too many smokers made it hard for me to breath fresh air. I did not see ash trays on the tables, but I guess smoking is permitted. I could not deal with the smoke. So I left. Disappointing.

Not sure where to start with this one. The Madhatter is set up as a bar / restaurant with a sign outside saying enter on one side to the restaurant and one side to the bar. We tried this - pointed back to the bar (which is fine) and entered in. First thing we were met by was an aggressive... More
