A friend was visiting from out-of-town and wanted to try a good Mexican place, so we went to Lauriol Plaza. Both of us ordered the crab and shrimp quesadilla and were extremely pleased with our choices.

Lauriol Plaza is a popular spot! It's a great place to meet with friends and enjoy a slow dining experience-meaning you can take your time and not feel rushed-the food was very timely in being served. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating so...More

We came here with a large group of people and it was frustrating because we couldn't get split checks. The food was amazing and the margaritas were soooo good! I had the fajitas and queso and my husband had some shredded beef dish. He loved...More

The service was great. We had a party of 12, so this was held on the roof top area on their third floor. Our server was Edgar. His team made sure we had a great evening. This spot is easily located ( few streets over)...More

And waiter was on point. I know I do say that a lot but when they get it right it is just right. Had the Cadillac margarita (rocks with salted rim). Honest was more lime juice than a drink. But added to the food. Did...More

I'm not sure why this place is so crowded. We went during an off-hour, before happy hour, and it seems they could not keep up with the few patrons they had at that hour. It took forever for anyone to come take our order and...More

It was my 1st time here but I am so glad I selected the Mariscos Saltado as my dish. If you like seafood and vegetables, this is the dish for you too! It was so delicious!!

Lauriol Plaza may not knock your socks off if you're a Mexican foodie but it always satisfies me. When I lived in DC in my 20s it was the go-to for brunch and big birthday parties. Since moving away, I find myself gravitating to Lauriol...More

Lauriol Plaza Restaurant was established in 1983. Ever since then, we have become a landmark in DC.
We are nestled in one of the most vibrant, diversified Dupont Circle neighborhood in DC.
According to food critics and clients, we are popular for good food, good service and good prices.
We have the most diversified clientele, who has a true passion for Mexican, International, Latin American food.
This is the spot to see and be seen in the Nation’s Capital and, although, we are a large restaurant, in essence, we still remain the small neighborhood restaurant we once were back in the old days.
We are proud to have served families and couples in the 80’s and their new generations in the 2000s, and, through engagement, weddings and reunions celebrations, we continue to serve them generation after generation.
Since the moment you enter, you will be impressed with the scenery. Whether you sit in the main floor, the mezzanine, the rooftop or the outside patio, you will always see a stunning perspective of the scenery. Inside a mural of a Spanish fiesta covers one wall of the bar; the interior beyond is cool and urbane, all matte-black metal and white walls, with woods in four tones forming the curved ceiling and stair rails, the expanse is magnified by windows as tall as most of the neighborhood's entire buildings. Dog walkers, bikers and joggers pass through sidewalks as if they were part of the decoration in an urban film. There so much to see.
We thank our loyal clientele and our hard working staff for making Lauriol Plaza the landmark institution is has become for the past 30 decades.
So in your next visit to DC, please pay us a visit.
