After riding the Big Bus forever we stumbled into Clydes. Food, drinks and service were fabulous and unique. Would definitely come back again.

I checked the menu online and the descriptions made the food sound really good and fresh. So, I was a bit disappointed by the average brunch we experienced. My daughter had a bagel with house smoked salmon, cream cheese, a couple tomato slices, red onion, capers, and strangely tiny weeny diced eggs. It was about $17 for nothing special --... More

D.C. Landmark. This restaurant was popular and a long time tradition when I loved here over 20 years ago. Still a great place for a burger or salad, and of course their chili.

I went with 3 other friends for dinner on a Saturday. The beer selection is good but not great. We shared the crab dip which was fantastic. I had the duck and it was delicious but not entirely filling. The service has stand out though. The server in the dining room was charming, informed and attentive. After dinner we moved... More

I had dinner with my daughter, and the experience was dissapointing. I've been to this locatation multiple times, and the food and service were always good. We ordered the grilled octopus appetizer that was excellent, and also the beet salad. Our server told us the salad contained roasted beets, but they were boiled. My daughter ordered a hamburger well done... More

We had lunch there and lunch was okay, just not quite up to snuff for this D.C. mainstay. Started with the beet salad with "crispy goat cheese." What arrived was a plate full of beets that had been boiled/steamed vs. roasted. They were lacking in flavor because they tasted watery (thanks to boiling) and they didn't have any dressing. Additionally,... More

It was packed! We arrived at 7:30 pm needing to eat and leave by 8:40 pm for tickets to something. They said for 3, 35-45 min wait but please feel free to leave we can text or join the bar area. We left for 10 min, returned thinking if we are present, the wait will be less. It was we... More

My cousin was showing me around D.C. made a reservation for Sunday brunch and here and the food was amazing! The restaurant was much bigger than it appears, and the service was phenomenal. Definitely recommend the smoked salmon bagel and watermelon margarita🥂

Opened in 1963, Clyde's of Georgetown qualifies as an institution. This animated tavern in the heart of Washington's most famous neighborhood popularized saloon food and practically invented Sunday brunch. More than 50 years later, Clyde's continues the tradition, serving classic American cuisine to Georgetown locals and famous faces while passers-by stop in and mingle at the long oak bar. The re-designed interior is an open invitation to the restaurant's life and times with its many travel posters, paintings, and bronze statues. Clyde's of Georgetown remains a Washington classic.
