After visiting the zoo, we were looking for a nearby restaurant before heading back to our hotel. The Lebanese Taverna had good reviews, so we thought we'd give it a try. Oh my gosh...the complimentary hot pita bread was so delicious. We were given 5 large pieces and the 4 of us quickly devoured it. The complimentary olive oil to... More

We had about thirty people decend on the place for dinner on a Sunday night. Staff were not fazed in the slightest. We were served family style from a set menu, but the options were great. The vegetarians were happy as were the carnivores. Would go back anytime.

It would be our last meal in DC. We had seen the Lebanese Taverna at Tysons Galleria on 2 previous occasions, but lack of time meant we hadn't eaten there yet. As we wondered the streets of Georgetown, my wife suggested we go the Washington DC branch. We got in easily enough, having booked on OpenTable en route. The Taverna... More

A wait for seating, this is near Convention hotels, but a wait at the bar was not excessive. Non alcoholic ginger and fruit drink enjoyed, Bordeaux French $9.00 glass was acceptable table wine. A variety of Middle Eastern mezzes were enjoyed, types of hummus, stuffed grape leaves fed several diners, grilled octopus salad with walnuts was very good, rare lamb... More

Stumbled upon this place as we exited the Metro to head to the zoo. Great food for lunch. Lovely on the inside.

We have been here many times, for lunch and dinner, and recommend it highly. Gracious hosts and wait staff, beautiful space, and so many delicious choices. A perennial favorite is the Meze platter, but we also love the fried artichokes, beet salad, and warm bread! You will not regret walking through Lebanese Taberna doors!

Lovely decor. Fresh Hummus and pita. Everything had so much flavor. Would definitely go back for a drink at the bar. Prices seemed reasonable.

Went here for dinner with work group and overall people enjoyed their meals and experience. The dining area is nice especially with the collection of lanterns and the service was very good. Some of the food could have been more flavorful such as the dip for the bread and the lamb. The bread arrived hot and unique as they were... More

Come see our new look with a contemporary feel in a refined setting with subtle touches of a Lebanese home. We've added seats to the bar and a new lounge too! Still great for groups of all sizes and the private room now seats 56 people. Located in walking distance from the Marriott Wardman Park and Omni Shoreham Hotels and directly across the street from the Woodley Park Metro station, our DC location is ideal for corporate and social events. Validated self-parking is also available in the garage directly behind the restaurant. The Cedar Room accommodates up to 60 people for a private seated event and 40 people for a standing reception. For smaller affairs, the room can be offered as a semi privately as well. The main dining room is also available for larger parties.
