We were able to walk in and get the table that we have had in the past. Our server was helpful in suggestions and friendly with our four children ages 4-8. This is a must when we come to the DC area. We even had a little Foosball time with a member of the staff. Thanks for always making it... More

Bistrot du Coin has the ambiance of a neighborhood place, but the food of a very good French neighborhood place. Great selection of sauces, decent wine list, knowlegable but unintrusive wait-staff. Reasonable prices, especially for DC.

My brother lives in D.C. and he wanted to take us to this place because he loves it so much. I was very impressed. Very authentic, but not too fancy. Bistrot du Coin has a relaxed feel to it. We enjoyed the escargot, steak frites and the mini ravioli with duck con fit, gizzards and mushrooms. Very tasty. Highly recommended.... More

Bistrot du Coin is a slice of Paris in the heart of DC. It is the kind of place where you will feel welcome and will want to return. Service and food here are excellent. Highly recommend any of the steak choices. They do offer reservations and if you are unable to get one during the weekend, try to get... More

The restaurant is a fantastic representation of French food. The choice of dishes are incredible. From the bouchée à la reine to the lapin à la moutarde, everything was fantastic. I truly recommend this restaurant for a night out with friends or with your family.

Food is great. Very much like the cafes in France. They do make changes for the local. The mussel with lobster bisque is great

There are plenty of pretentious French restaurants in Washington. THEN there's Bistrot du Coin. It feels like a REAL place - like the kind of French roadside cafe you might come across in a small town but where you have the most amazing salad in your life. Bistrot du Coin's food is always outstanding, and service is excellent. Its weird... More

A big bistrot, a lot of people... but the staff very friendly and find us a table without reservation. The food is fantastic: appetizer snails in a garlic souse then steak and filet amazing. We suggest this bistrot!

If you can swing it, get there for an early dinner or lunch otherwise its going to be packed and there could be long waits and very noisy. That being said, TOTALLY worth waiting no matter how long. AND! Completely worth yelling across the table to your friends/family. A few warnings: Wear stretchy pants. If you are visiting vs living... More

Bistrot du Coin opened its doors on Memorial Day of 2000 by Yannis Felix and Michel Verdon. The motto is French, Fun and Friendly, this is our guideline to bring you the best experience ever at Bistrot Du Coin. The word Bistrot is defined in French as a neighborhood restaurant where you can eat good food at a fair price. The typical color of a French Bistrot is pale yellow to brown (otherwise known as Bistre) because the walls used to get dirty quickly from nicotine. Bistrot Du Coin is also known for its parties, three times a year to celebrate famous French events such as Bastille day on July 14th, The Beaujolais Nouveau on the third thursday of November or The New Year's Eve.
