I got the roti, patty, and plantains. They were all okay but nothing amazing. I had a craving and it partially satisfied it, but I pray there are better options. This is essentially a fast food place. Best suited for take out. I went there thinking it might be good to dine in, but it's not that kind of atmosphere.... More

This is a cozy spot for some quick Jamaican food that is reasonably priced. I've been coming to this location for over 20 years and the owners are legit. There is a small area for sit down dining, but they also do a brisk "to go" business. There are lines out the door at lunchtime and dinner when college is... More

This place is near Howard University so it has prime location however the Caribbean food leaves much to be desired. It will get you by but there are better places in the area to get a better fix. Doesn't remind me of home at all but a mere imitation.

Music playing over head. Cold day with snow coming down. Wanted my mom chicken soup. Couldn't get that but this was a great substitute. Nice soup that had a little of everything in it. Stop in and taste. It is nice to see the Howard University students stopping in as well.

It's not the greatest, but I would recommend. Caribbean people tend to never be customer service friendly and take their time, so the wait was quite long and the order was not right when it finally came. All in all when everything was corrected the food was good.

Then my taste buds cried...the absolute worst taste jerk wings ever. My beef pattie was delicious, but you can't really mess those up they are pre-made. The restaurant was clean and the people were nice. Maybe my expectation was too high. But I don't plan on returning.

My friends and I enjoyed the patties and banana cake. The oxtail with red beans and rice with cabbage and curry chicken with red peas and rice with cabbage was very good. Oh man that CHICKEN SOUP was banging just needed a little pepper for my taste.

Even though I have noticed only two actual Jamaicans working there (non in the kitchen), I must say that this is one place where I actually love quite a few of the dishes they offer. Mmmmm, Negril, I have been craving it all week, but it is too far from my route nowadays :-(.
