We love Sal our server the last 3 times in 2 days! Staying right across the street at Hyatt. Great GF menu but must ask for it. Great drinks. Love the margarita. Again Sal rocks.

Came in out of the pre-storm wind for some yummy comfort food and were impressed by the excellent service! Robotic, saccharine, I-really-can't-wait-for-my-shift-to-end wait-people really irk the bejeezus out of me. We like a server we cant banter with a bit. Our server was both efficient and attentive as well as down to earth, HUMAN, authentic and engaging. Great personality and... More

I stepped inside because first I was freezing my butt off and second my phone died because of the cold as it was guiding me to the DC Tap House. Since I was lost, freezing, and in need of a charge (phone and beer battery) I decided enough was enough. The chicken noodle soup was just what I needed and... More

Capital City Brewing offers a wide selection of food that I would brand "comfort food" that most Americans are accustomed to and comfortable with. From burgers to salads to wings and pizza the array of food is largely normal by restaurant standards, but the food is very good. The turkey burger is one of the best I've tasted, but the... More

Found this brew house and it is fantastic. Everything is first rate but Beni the bartender really made this place special. I feel lucky to have found this place, and lucky to have met Beni. If I were local this would be my hang out.

With downtown Washington being known for high prices this place was a welcome find. Great food and plenty of it, great drinks, awesome atmosphere all at Midwest prices. We went here two nights in a row. Give it a try.

Was greeted around 5pm by grumpy hostess. I think she almost smiled once while we were there. However our server was very pleasant and efficient. We stopped for an appetizer and a beer during a happy hour on a Thursday. One nice touch is they do offer a nice hot pretzel in lieu of bread. Our appetizer was good, but... More

I went to visit my boyfriend who is working in D.C. I picked this plce because the commute from the hotel wasn't too far. It was a little confusing finding the place but eventually we found it. It was crowded and loud in there. It's a fun atmosphere. The staff were nice abd the food wasn't too bad either. The... More

Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as the first brew pub in our nation's capitol since prohibition, thus giving its citizens and its many visitors the freedom to enjoy some of the finest hand-crafted beer in the country. On the front of our menu is the symbol of freedom, the Lady Liberty, a statue found atop our namesake, the United States Capitol.

Nestled in the heart of Washington's rejuvenated downtown, this location has become a local landmark for celebrating great beer and food with family and friends. We have always taken great pride in our beer so come in and enjoy a cold pint of our very best and match it to one of the many menu selections tailored to the brews we serve.
