We were looking to have a quick late lunch at any random place when we stopped by at Teasim. I ordered some lunch menu, I could not recall, was not really impress with the actual food menu. I would recommend the tea and other cookies menu than the actual food.

Grabbed a quick lunch with a friend. The Bento Box was perfect. It wasn't a lot of food but enough for a quick bite. There is additional seating downstairs that is quiet and you do not have the people coming in and out walking around you while you eat. I would grab lunch here any day. The quality and taste... We had a work dinner for 20 in the lower level meeting space at Teaism and they exceeded expectations. The food was interesting and outstanding! Very healthy and flavorful. I would visit them again for business or pleasure!

This restaurant doesn't have table service, but it does have vegan options which is uncommon in DC. The tea selection is good. I generally like their salmon dishes and frequently get their salted oatmeal cookies. The plain are just as good as the chocolate.

I met friends here for lunch based upon their recommendation. When I walked in I saw just a few tables dining and a walk up counter to order. While waiting for my friend, I noted that they have a downstairs seating area that is quite large. I ordered the Chai tea and a fantastic burger. The Chai tea was absolutely... More

Stumbled upon Teaism on our last day in D.C. - what a fabulous find. Huge menu with something for everyone - way beyond tea. The Vegetarian curry was hearty and tasty. My son thoroughly enjoyed his brisket sandwich. The selection of teas are tremendous and my son indulged an salty oat cookie which he gave his definite stamp of approval.... More

I work on the same block as Teaism and used to enjoy it. But over the last year, it has gotten steadily worse. They also keep changing recipes without notice. Today I ordered chicken udon noodle soup - something I get often - and found a bowl of mushy broccoli and huge hunks of raw onion, neither of which has... More

Like anything/anyplace, if you know what to order, the experience usually is better...had the cabbage (yes, cabbage) pancake with chicken...a little too much sauce on the pancake and the chicken was dry, but the pancake was surprisingly tasty. My pot of tea just not hot, alas. Cheerful service. Still could use a deep clean/fresh face, but always is busy and... More

We were there at lunchtime on a national holiday so maybe the crowd was a little light, but line move quickly and there were so many choices that it was hard to choose. I had a Korean barbeque sandwich topped with slaw on ciabatta. The sandwich was piled high with big chunks of fork tender juicy brisket. By the time... More

I had the vegan coco caramel cake with their homemade lemonade. So delish. It is a super crowded place at lunch. I would like to try their hot teas next time. Everyone enjoyed the food except the oat fritter was quite gross that one of my friends ordered.

Linda N, Owner at Teaism Penn Quarter, responded to this review

Hey - thanks for visiting and taking the time to review - glad you plan to visit again. I'm sorry the oatmeal fritter was disappointing - I'll look into that. Best, Linda More
