Having tried the original in NYC we wanted to try this branch of Rosa Mexicano and were not disappointed. Great service, outstanding food and some wonderful cocktails. The churros as desert were fabulous!

Don’t fill up on chips! I tell myself this every time. But the salsa and guacamole was so good I could help it. Everything was very good, from the skirt steak to the sangria. I just wish I wasn’t so full that I could have...More

I chose this venue bc it’s close to our hotel. I made a reservation, but I could only get a later one. It worked, and I’m so glad bc the restaurant was packed. Delicious guacamole and the entrees and dessert were very good. Highly recommend...

I was in DC this past weekend with friends who wanted to try this place since it is hard to get a reservation. The atmosphere is modern white table cloth, the food and service just average. Table side prepared guacamole was good but the sangria...More

They don’t have Mexican food like this in Albany! The guacamole is made of fresh, chunky avocado seasoned perfectly. I had the beef tacos which were unique and very good. Service was friendly and very quick, and the restaurant is situated on the corner of...More

We enjoyed a lovely dinner of fish tacos and chicken flautas. The guacamole was delicious too. Our server was very attentive. Great place for dinner.

The good, the bad, the ugly: 1. Vegetarian dishes are VERY few and those we sampled were poorly-made and bland. If you've had true SW food (think Santa Fe or Taos) do not expect anything like that here! The Chile Relleno was particularly bad (big,...More

Yes, it is great for kids but if you can I would eat outside. The tacos are little spicy so be aware what you order for them. Other than that, that atmosphere is great and casual!

Just west of our nation's Capitol, Rosa Mexicano Penn Quarter location is situated in the exceptionally restored 1924 Hecht’s building across from the Verizon Center. As the first Rosa Mexicano to open outside of New York City in December 2003, this D.C. location remains true to its roots by delivering authentic Mexican cuisine in a stylish, festive atmosphere. The interior features eye-catching details that include 14-foot wraparound windows, a spacious bar and lounge area, and a tequila bar offering a wide range of premium selections and margaritas. Traditional folk crafts have also been incorporated throughout the restaurant, most notably in a dramatic series of illuminated pilasters featuring festive Mexican masks mounted on the wall. It’s a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds.
