Having spent some years living in and around the Middle East I have a love of Lebanese / middle eastern food. This restaurant is really good . Fantastic menu , beautifully served food and some innovative dishes along side the basics. Fair value as well. Give it a go especially if you've never tried this type of cuisine before... you'll... The weather has been great this week and we ate outside (in February!) The service was great and despite seeing some menu items that were more exotic and adventurous than we were prepared for, we found a lot of delicious options. There are vegetarian options (yummy crispy brussel sprouts, spanikopita, mushrooms), seafood (shrimp, octopus, scallops) and meats (beef, chicken, lamb).... More

Having lived in the Middle East and traveled everywhere I'm very particular about middle eastern food. This is a blend of Turkish, Greek and Lebanese. While it feels a bit of Egyptian has been put in too. Seasonings are nice and well combined. Humus with lamb was authentic. Lavash chips with sumac, perfect. Chicken swarma was great and lamb sandwich... More

I'm Armenian and cook Middle Eastern cuisine. Zaytinya offers small plates that are fresh and delicious. A great way to enjoy our cuisine and share with others who may not be as familiar.

Have been to Zaytinya twice for brunch and both times it exceeded my expectations. For a fancy restaurant, it is not so expensive. Four people stuffed ourselves (without alcohol) for $20 per person. The vegetable mezze are all excellent, especially the hummous, mushrooms, grape leaves...well, everything. Definitely worth the experience and it doesn't have to break your wallet.

God we made a reservation as the place was packed. Nice welcome and the service remained good throughout. Attentive and friendly and the food cam perfectly timed. We ordered 8 dishes, all were delicious and authentically Mediterranean/Middle Eastern. The Houmos was exceptional, lemony, with alot of garlic. The bread kept coming hot and fresh and the greek wine was lovely.... More

When I usually travel state side I do not usually eat middle eastern food, as you have plenty of them back in Dubai, but this place was highly recommended, and it deserved the recommendation, great atmosphere, the staff was very knowledgeable, which is important when you have a diverse menu, what makes this place unique in my opinion is how... Quite the surprise we had visiting this restaurant for a late Valentine's Celebration, I read excellent reviews but didn't expect the level of detail, ambiance, presentation and delicious food, excellent server and cocktails. Our server made our experience unforgettable, he was knowledgeable and had great recommendations, we incorporated our own taste and had an array of different dishes to share... More

My husband and I happened upon Zaytinya walking around DC one Sunday afternoon. Although it was a bit chilly, we opted for the lesser wait time patio. This patio is a great spot! It is very close to the Verizon Center, with many passers-by and great energy. The service was great. We ordered craft cocktails and appetizers. All of the... More
