We came here for a business lunch and had a very nice experience. Bread to start with was nice. Good wine/drink menu. Service was very good. Convenient location in the Hotel George and 10 min walk (tops) from the Capitol. We tried the salmon and tuna dishes. Prepared as requested. Tasty and reasonable portions. The sides, salads and potatoes, were... More

My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for years but just finally managed to get there. The service was spot on and the two dishes we ordered were delicious. I had the Sweetbreads which were perfectly prepared, my wife had the Beef bourguignon w/buttered noodles. She was making yummy sounds while she was eating. We will... More

The convenient location near our hotel on Capitol Hill and the positive Trip Advisor reviews of this restaurant led me, my husband and a friend to have dinner at this real "find," while visiting D.C. for the Inauguration. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the service excellent, and the food tasty. The salads to begin, mains, one salmon and the other... More

We like the location (4 minute walk from Union Station), the decor, the excellent service. Food is well above average. My Moule Marseillaise (mussels) as an appetizer was good, but not inspiring. Of particular note was my wife's Royale Sea Bass Crudo appetizer. Wow. You have to get this. For the main, my wife and I both had the duck... More

With our days being filled with taking in the DC area and not really wanting to venture out - we decided to try the in property restaurant - and very pleased we did. Service 5 stars! Food 5 stars! Ambiance 5 stars! Great job! As a hotelier - I tend to not see things through the eyes of a regular... More

My friend and I stopped in here while in town for Donald Trumps Inauguration. We had the escargot which was average we had the French onion soup which was decent and we had of the steak and fries which was good. The highlight was the Merlot shallot butter which rested on top of the steak. This is a super cute... More

This is the definitive Hill luncheon spot. The French inspired bistro always delivers with high end food and inventive interpretations on French classics. The ambiance is equally cosy and comfortable with a fairly open dining room so you can see the "who's who" of Washington. The staff is very efficient and strikes the right balance between being unobtrusive and attentive.

I recently took my boyfriend out for his birthday. Dinner was good, but I honestly expected better due to the reviews and cost. Also, the wine-by-the-glass selection was severely limited. Overall, definitely a great place for dinner, but I wouldn't go for special occasions.

It's expensive but the food is worth it. We ate there two nights in a row trying different things off the menu each night. Both meals were exceptional. Friendly service and a buzzing bar for a nightcap tops the night off.

Excellent dining experience - food and service were wonderful. What more can I say? I'd go back again in a heartbeat.
