Ducked in for dinner and had a bit of sticker shock (for my business per diem!) but it was freezing and I couldn’t bear going back outside so I went for the lyonnaise salad. Decadent!! Service is wonderful. Restaurant is lovely. I will definitely go...More

I selected Bistro Bis for a dinner because they featured Bouillabaisse Marseillaise, a generous presentation with monkfish, shrimp, octopus, mussels, clams and “spicy rouille”, ($34.75) A rare selection in U.S. restaurants – highly successfully done. A Guinness Stout at $7.75 was an affordable choice. Tucked...More

I first tried this place during restaurant week a couple of years ago and the food/service were so good I keep going back. It is definitely a spacial evening local, but you will wine/dine in a lovely atmosphere with great food and great service.

Very good food. Great service. Tables were a bit close for comfort to have an in depth conversation with my dining companion.

This is one of my fav lunch spots. I recommend the mussels and braised kale with apple and bacon. I suggest the bar stools or a high table for the privacy and the service. Betsy - one of the waitresses - is a shining star...More

I had a business meeting here for breakfast and it was incredibly convenient as I needed to be at union station afterwards. It was about a 3 minute walk. Located adjacent to the Hotel George there were a number of breakfast options.

We had a group dinner for 8 people and ordered a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Everyone was delighted with their selections. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was well prepared.

Went for a late lunch with my wife. We ordered escargot and French onion soup to share and two entrees to share. The escargot was made with seasonal roots and some sort of citrus, not the typical garlic butter. I was pleasantly surprised. Their soup...More

I was there with friends. I had the scallops, which I highly recommend. The chef was able to make a slight modification in the way it was prepared to avoid my intolerance of onions, and I loved the result. My friends ordered other things which...More

I am always shocked at the attire of most tourists in our nation's capital. Please do not wear shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, sandals, baseball caps or leggings. Just don't do it.
