It was not bad but not amazing either. The restaurant was quite small. I went during lunch and there was a buffet, which was at the side of the bar. Only about 5 dishes were present including dessert. The food wasn't bad, the chicken was good and so was the naan. Overall, if i was in a hurry and this... More

We've been here twice - and we can't think why we went the second time. The food has been equally bad on both occassions - consistency is the forte here.

Very poor Indian restaurant, unauthentic dishes cooked in an unhygienic environment. From the moment we sat down at the table covered with dirty and stained linen I did fear the worst from this establishment. The food ranged form the completely bland to the ludicrously spicy, with nothing in between. The only slight connection this place has to India is the... More

We typically come here for lunch and occasionally for dinner. We had the buffet for dinner the first time and while the food was good it doesn't beat our regular choice of lamb curry and dahlia soup. The food is fresh and well prepared, and the service is great. We never had a problem getting a table and there is... More

Absolutely wonderful meal! Lots of choices on the menu and fresh cooked naan. Wonderful spices and condiments. The tables are a little bit close to each other, but the food was great!

I went to this place at about 2.30 pm and had a lunch buffet. Food was ok . It was close to 3 pm which is close time of buffet so food was bit cold. The server gave me hot roti which was nice. Rice pudding was nice. Masala tea had a strong flavour of clove. The restaurant is big... More

In the heart of Georgetown , across the street from the 4 Seasons Hotel, I thought Taj of India might be a great low key Indian restaurant to try. However, it turned out to be the most bland Indian food I could imagine. All well prepared, great service and great atmosphere. But someone told the chef to use tasteless spices... More

A treat in Georgetown for Indian food. Nice service, helpful staff. Decent wine selection and assortment of Indian flavors and dishes. Try the chicken malai kabab, saag paneer, aloo gobi masala, and lamb pasada for an interesting and satisfying assortment to share. The chicken tikka masala was a bit skimpy and dry, only issue. Definitely worth a stop.

It was Thanksgiving Night and my wife and I were visiting the DC area. The service was wonderful; the food fantastic; the atmosphere was great and the price was very good. Definitely a must do if your in the DC area and love authentic Indian Food.

The butter chicken, meat samosa and garlic naan were all very good - just wish delivery had not taken 2 hours. Used the online order entry option on their website. Received confirmation email with estimated delivery. 20 minutes after estimated delivery we called - "we have no record of your order". Stay away from their website order option and just... More
