Stopped here for dinner while on a business trip and sat at the bar. The place slowly started to fill up over the course of my meal. The atmosphere is quite “festive” with neon signs, funky lanterns and solid bar with creative drinks. I started...More

We just stopped in as we were en route elsewhere. Happy for us! The food was fresh and flavorful and we had attentive service. The mixed nuts came hot and pleasantly spicy. The pad eggplant with chicken was the best we've had in years. It...More

I visited Thai Chef before the new management and new label as "Street Food". In deed they include on the menu quite a few dishes that are called "street food" so I tried one which is steamed chicken on rice. The taste is OK and...More

Well it's Friday night and it was lively inside, somewhat needed some effort to make myself heard to my friend. Staff were nice and attentive. Mai Thai tasted .. exotic and drunken noodle was more spicy than expected (Mai Thai didn't help). Calamari is average,...More

That's all I had, but it was tasty and with plenty of shrimp. I was with colleagues that had pad thai, curry, etc., and everyone enjoyed what they had. Service was fast and friendly. It's a good choice if you're near Dupont Circle.

Happy hour deals are great - $5 for sushi (highly recommend the crunchy tuna and salmon) and cocktails (a little watered down though but great nonetheless). Very spicy drunken noodles, and a solid curry. Would go back for the happy hour for sure.

Walked a mile to find the place. Which doesn't seem like much except I had an injured leg. The strawberry lemonade is homemade and freaking incredible I'd you like very very tart. Service is incredibly fast. Great ambiance albeit a bit noisy. The vegetable spring...More

The Thai chef in Dupont Circle is a wonderful place for authentic Thai food. I really recommend the Thai dumplings, the sushi, and the chicken satay. Happy hour is from 4 to 7, so it's very easy to get an inexpensive yet delicious meal.

It wasn't anything impressive for a first time person trying Thai food. Noodles were extremely oddly cooked. I personally would not go there again, service was ok.
